I reckon he'll put up a better fight than some of you guys. I can't think of a single Klitschko fight I've seen where the opponent moved his head. Most of the guys either of the Kltis have fought were content to stay at arms length with their gloves up and wait to lose. In fact the only two I can think of off the top of my head who tried to apple pressure where Peter and Arreola (still makes me snigger) and neither of them know how to even try to slip a punch. Chisora also gets low and Klitschko isn't famed for the uppercut.

I can only see one winner and it's not Chisora but I do think he'll make it a little interesting (no small achievement with one of the two consensus dullest heavyweight champions in history)

Really?
I'm sure Vitali hits harder but Helenius hits very hard and cleanly, no?
I was taking issue with the liberal use of the word thunderous, which I'd reserve for the likes of Foreman, not Helenius.

Chisora should watch Vitali in the Solis "fight" - he plods after the Cuban, lands nothing, and gets caught a few times with decent shots. Solis backs off, makes Klit miss most of his shots, then jumps in and catches a slowing down Vitali a few times, because with his hands down style, his reflexes are going to start leaving him a bit more vunerable.

Del Boy should follow the Solis plan, but obviously avoid collapsing in agony on a twisted knee after 3 minutes.

I remember not really paying attention to this fight the first time around. Just watching it now, I was shocked how easily Vitali was caught at 1:59 by a right hand, he gave Solis all the time in the world to land that one. I knew Vitali was a faded force but it hasn't looked more evident than here.

It's funny, had that Haye fight that everyone was told was DEFINITELY ON a couple of months ago (lol) actually happened, I would have given David a decent chance on this evidence. OTOH Chisora one feels just won't be able to make enough of a dent.

Yeah I was very surprised watching it at the time, and started to think the Cuban had a really good chance there, before the knee went. There's no saying he would have kept that up, but at least it's a glimmer of chance for Del Boy. I imagine his team have had a look at it too. Shame Del Boy doesn't seem to have a big punch on him, but he still might cut the aging champ if he lands a good few. I think his chin is good enough to hang in there too, but he wants to keep it out of the way for as long as possible, because once Vitali starts landing, his chances will head south in a hurry.

The fight's on free to air German channel RTL by the way.

I predict Chisora will give a very good account of himself.

Dereck will last the distance and give Vitali the toughest fight since his return in Oct 2008.

But still, I think Vitali's excellent boxing skills will enable him to win by something like 117-111 on the cards.

Chisora doesn't have the footwork and hand speed of Solis, that's what allowed him to draw Vitali onto shots and get in and out quickly. IMO unlike Solis Chisora will need to get right inside on Vitali before he can land anything. If/when he does his more looping shots may make him a lot easier for Vitali to counter than Solis was. I think he needs a different game plan to the Cuban.

All that said I'm looking forward to the fight, would have rather seen him have a crack at Wlad though.

I must admit I have only seen Chisora fight 2 or 3 times, one of them being the Fury fight. From what I have seen I have literally no interest in watching this fight.

He comes across as very lazy and undeserving. I thought exactly the same when Wlad fight came about.

Boring.

I don't know about anyone else, but I can't bear that horrific camera work they use for whatever network shows the Klit fights, that weird high angle, roving diagonal shot of the ring, it's absolutely appalling. Whoever the clowns are in production who go with this rather than the standard ringside cameras need to have their heads examined, it makes the action terrible to follow. Pretty much made Klit/Haye even worse..

Chisora is funny, entertaining. But beat a Klitschko, well its a one fight situation and Vitaly is nowhere near the dominant champion this current crop of flabby knob-jockeys have made him look....but Dereck is reaching from League One to Premiership here. Bit like Crawley v Stoke City (Away) and Crawley lost in the previous two rounds against teams with similar style. Contentious though it was against that Swedish lamp-post.

fat Kirk Johnson, fat Corrie Sanders, fat Danny Williams, fat Gomez, fat Arreola, fat Peter, fat Solis - anyone noticed a pattern? Best performance, losing to a, wait for it, fat Lennox Lewis.

It makes excruciating, boring fights even worse to watch. I can only assume the Germans do it because it makes the Klits look even bigger & more heroic than they actually are.

Weird.

Anyway: Chisora's chances are exactly the same as anyone else's at this point. He's got two hopes: either Big Klit's steroid injuries finally catch up with him, or he gets pummelled & leaned on for a late TKO.

Also, did you notice that the HBO version of Klit/Haye did its own camera work? That says a lot...

Some people think Chisora has a chance here. Call me crazy, but I'm edging towards him too. If he can do it, it'll be hellaciously tough for him, but I think it'll at least be closer than people think. That footage really shows Vitali's on the decline IMO.
