Not to mention Whitaker was not terribly convincing at 154, in my opinion. He looked pudgy and was clearly too small for the weight class. Wright would probably win a close, boring decision.

He was convincing enough to dominate a guy that floored Winky five times.

Akinwande/Willard/Carnera/Ruiz

Stick them in any combination you want

Nice countenance to Leonard-Hagler-Hearns-Duran.

The Four Paupers? The Four Court Jesters?

I certainly wouldn't call that a dominant performance. I thought it was an 8-4 type decision with plenty of close rounds. And Vasquez definitely wasn't dealing with a prime Winky when those two fought.

The main point was that Whitaker clearly didn't look to be the fighter he once was with that kind of weight on his frame, even though he matched up well stylistically with Vasquez.

Hes like the, "reverse-Benitez," of the group, a tremendously awkward guy who, by the court of popular opinion, is not quite awkward enough for the Four Queens :DD

Im quite certain Wright would defeat the 154 Mayweather, and he probably deserves favouritism over Whitaker at that weight, too. More size than ability accounting for that, however. Wright is still the lesser of these three boxers.

What with all of the cuddling, I think there's a distinct chance this would look more like a second date than a fight.

The only fight in history where you needed a chapperone, not a referee.

I just thought of a really good one.

"Ricky Hatton vs Carlos Baldomir" would've been extremely awkward. At least after awhile. Overall,It'd likely be Part Brawlfest, gravitating to Hugfest for at least the last half of a 12 rd'er.

Yeah, lots of holding and hitting in that one. I think Baldomir would wear him down though, he was very good at taking body shots, he laughed at everything Gatti hit him with and Arturo was smashing him about as hard as he landed on anyone.

You can call it whatever you want, Pea schooled him. As for Wright being prime or not, he still got bounced off of the canvas like a ball.

And your last point is just silly. Whitaker wasn't at his ideal weight at 154 pounds? Really?

I'm as big a fan of Whitaker as you'll find, and I didn't think it was a schooling at all. A clear win is not necessarily a schooling, and certainly not in that case. I've even heard it argued a 7-5 type decision. Hell, I'm pretty sure Seamus scored the fight to Vasquez ( ), or at least he used to.

Your second paragraph is just silly, considering that's the point I was making in the first place. You were the one who had something to say about it. Derp!

I never said 154 was his best weight. I just pointed out that he was convincing enough to easily beat one of the top guys. You should probably watch the fight, it wasn't close.

But thanks for pointing out the obvious, retard. Where would the forum be without you? Why don't you break your next scoop on why Thomas Hearns prime weight wasn't Cruiser?

I pointed out the obvious, you disagreed with the obvious, and now you're trying to turn it around on me because you realise you made a boo-boo. Fair enough. You'd look like less of a bitch if you just conceded defeat, but whatever floats your boat. :TU:
