Absolute bollox :shame: He was not in his corner as he is currently not a licence holder, he warmed him up and walked him to the ring, he then sat ringside shouting instructions. Some members on here talk utter shite :shame:

What a joke with the Craig Evans fight surely they knew this opponent was not worth fighting a guy 7-0. I watched Marc Callaghan fight Stephen Russell he should not have been fighting then and certainly not now. He pulled out for what sounds like the same reason. I thought there was Matchmakers in boxing to make sure fights were at least fair. I think this has let Craig and his team down hopefully next fight he will start moving up and fighting guys at his level.

Craig Evans is a very talented fighter indeed.

Enzo Macc ? he's looking much older than his 31 years.

I think he's lost a lot of momentum in his attacks if I'm honest. He used to be a juggernaut coming forward, nowadays he is more of a milk float.

Was thinking that myself Enzo Calzaghe defo walked to the ring with him and was fully behind big mac.

Thought big mac looked in good shape, longs he's kept away from big punchers he'll do well. Best few rounds i've seen Gavin box. Not seen him that much tbh but was impressed last night.

@ Jamie, 20 times is a bit of an exageration and being that my 'career' has effectively been over since 2007 I have accepted the journeyman role to - (a) Cash in and earn a few £'s and (b) Give the up and coming prospects some education. I'm not there to win now, I'm there to pay my bills and debts. I turned Proffessional in 1998, I have no ambition left. I've took fights these last two years mainly on a day or two notice. Taking fights well above my natural fighting weight of a Super Bantam. I have also been boxing with a reoccurring problem of a dislocated shoulder and when I box those who are a 1/2 to a stone heavier why battle on for 4,5 or 6 rounds when an injury and not fully fit when I wont get the win anyway? Yeah, I abuse the system which abuses me giving me a day or two notice.

@ "toomanyshots". Yes your correct, and I did retire years ago but unfortunately I've had to come back to pay court costs having took my ex partner to court to gain access and have a relationship with my son. So you see, I'm not doing this out of choice. I never spar and hardly take shots since my return. Also, I can assure you that when we was in each others company I would of lowered my level of intelligance and vocabulary to your level whilst taking to you out of politeness.

Fighting styles aside, I would have said that Cook and McIntyre were at a similar level these days. I think that's a bit harsh on Kevin.

Callaghan has been a good tradesman who has paid his dues. I don't see how anyone can begrudge him a few quid at the end of his career.

Boxing is a business, for the promoters and managers, the world champions and also for the man in the other corner who needs to pay his rent.

And it is clear from his well articulated posts that his mental faculties are well in order.

Got to give Marc a lot of respect for his honesty. But surely this mismatch should not have happened? I think Craig is way beyond this level he is a ABA champion and was 7-0 surely a more competitive fight should have been on the card. I would be very disapointed if I was one of his fans. He should have fought Ronnie Clark win or lose he would have gained a lot more respect and certainly learned alot.

On the show I was very disapointed watching it none of the fights were very competitive cant see me keeping my allegedly subscription with all these rubbish shows.

They never showed a fight on the undercard that would have thrilled the audience, my lad Lewis Rees won a very hard fought decision against Tony Pace in what is one of the best six rounders I've seen in years. Pace was out on his feet and nearly stopped in the 1st but came back to give Lewis a very tough fight and although accurate, the 60-55 score doesn't do Pace or Lewis justice to the spectacle that they put on. allegedly dropped a real clanger not airing this fight :shame:

Let's be honest when people are paying £10 a Month they should show the FULL bloody show :shame: what else do they show? Rerun after rerun of the same old suspects , how are the upcoming fighters supposed to get a larger fan base if they are not shown? Like you said Gary they dropped a clamber.

Who is Craig Evans??? He thought he was good and for whatever reason they pulled the fight?! I know it, they know it, and the whole world knows it... I would knock Craig Evans out!!!!!! The reason everyone is undefeated is because its all pretend... Boxing will soon be like the WWF or WWE it is now... Very disgusted!!!!!

I understand, and of course people only go by what they see. Although you only need to see my contests with British Super BantamWeight Champion at the time Michael Hunter and Dazzo Williams a future British Champion on youtube(spelt 'Villiams' and year 2005 on youtube) to see that my character was to battle on regardless, where I went 10 rounds in candidate for fight of the year 2004 and full 8 rounds in 2003 respectively so not intending to take anything away from Steven Russell or Craig Evans but I first dislocated my shoulder in training in the one weeks notice I got to defend my English Title back in 2007 against Rendall Munroe. I still went ahead with the fight with Munroe as thats when my court proceedings first started having to took my ex partner to court to gain access to my son, then I went the full 8 rounds with Martin Lindsey in a reletively close fight (and here I still am fighting the family court system, but thats another story). So like I said, not taking anything away from Steven Russell and Craig Evans but at the moment Michael Hunter, Dazzo Williams and Rendall Munroe was a higher and better level than Steven Russell and Craig Evans when I boxed them. (Although I'm not saying Russell and Evans wont reach their level, who knows they may even go beyond that level, I'm just trying to make my point clear). Also, not wishing to hang all my laundry out but in the 14 years I've been boxing professional the last nearly 8 years since October 2002 has been a haze to me since finding my brother dead yet through the mental and heart felt pain I battled it out with like I said Michael Hunter in candidate for fight of the year 2004, Dazzo Williams, Ian Napa for 10 rounds winning the Southen Area Title (although I feel I lost that close fight, the 96-95 should have been in Ian's favour I feel and have told him so). Went the full 12 rounds with a near peak Esham Pickering for the British Title. The point I'm getting at is what you see now and the results you see is not always what it seems or the real ethusiastic me. I've been emotionally tired. The last say 3 years I haven't had a trainer as such, I basically train myself from memory of the brilliant trainers I have had, do the same runs and visulise what I've been shown and practise on the bag. I want to make clear that I don't intend to cheat the public and do intend to have a 'go' now, as I did against prospects Billy Morgan and Ediz Hussain. My fight with Billy Morgan is on youtube, you can see I was going through the motions enjoying myself and making a fight of it, the same with Ediz Hussain. Also, the 11 or 12 times I've been stopped out of my near 50 fights many have been because of cuts. As you'd see on my record there has been stoppages against lesser fighters than who I have gone the distance with or beat (no disrespect to them, its all about different levels and stages of career). And @ "davidee" on paper, someone who's 7-0 boxing a former Southern Area Champion, former English Champion and British Title Challenger is a good stepping stone and learning fight for them so nothing should be taken away from Craig Evans or the matchmaker, especally if the matchmaker had been going by my recent form against Billy Morgan who was 5-0 so it's not the matchmakers fault or the fighters fault, that fault is with me the 'opponent' and from a fan point of view I do apologise for that but I've been a good servant to this sport, taking fights against anyone anytime and anywhere and not been paid great.

Fair play Marc but i would still knock Craig Evans out... Why would they confirm the fight with me agree the wages then pull out the fight to fight you??? Because they know they truth... I could go around in circles saying this and saying that... Cowards like Craig Evans are bad for the sport!!!

To be the best you gotta fight the best...

I can't answer your question Ronnie, all I know is that I'm offered a fight at the last minute and I took it. Although not ready with an injury and well above my weight but like I said although I don't intend to cheat local fans/supporters of the home boy I need to pay bills and put food on the table. My injury held up for my two previous fights against unbeaten prospects Billy Morgan and Ediz Hussain who was both also alot heavier and they was evenly fought contests so I don't assume the matchmaker or Craig Evan's team anticipated a basically 'non contest'.

I wouldn't say Craig Evan's or any boxers are cowards, I can understand your frustration and thats a good ingredient to have as a fighter to 'want' things, to 'want' to challenge yourself against the best but as you and I both know when we really think about it, its not the fighter who decides or has the final say in who they fight or which route they take. I wish you the best of luck and it's clear to see you have 'hunger' to succeed which can be a vital ingredient to push you that bit more to achieve your dream so hold on to that!
