You know I'm no shrinking violet, perhaps it's the people involved as well. The incident itself was bad, and the way they have conducted themselves previously in and out of the ring can impact on the overall opinion.

No no, didnt mean their drug problems would have any bearing to filling arenas, just the fact they werent saints. I went to calzaghe manfredo and there was a Q about 30 long waiting for the cubicles, didnt take long for the queue to go down cos everyone was going in in twos, one guy actually shouted "ha lookat them going in two at a time, you two bent?" - the whole que looked at him with a big "sigh" type face.

The average guy in the street is more likely the same dickhead ho turns up in a pissed up gang of mates at a "big" event and treat the experience like a football match, looking for trouble.

Holy mother of God, I have never seen that Bowe/Donald presser footage before. what I want to know is, how in the name of Jebus did Donald absorb those two monstrous flush sucker punches from a huge hitting heavyweight, without gloves, without expecting it coming, and barely even get rocked??? That is absolutely insane...I knew Donald was tough but those are the sorts of shots that would put someone in hospital, never mind the guy just stepping back and looking mildly confused. Fvck!

Boxing doesn’t do itself any favours, I’ll rephrase that, many of the people involved in boxing don’t do it any favours, but the sudden rush to pelt it from a disgraced national press who are up to their tits in scandal relating to the lack of morality in their profession is a bit rich. Especially when you consider that the ‘beautiful game’ long tried to suppress racism only for the dam to burst open this season and expose football’s dirty fingernails.

A lot of the ink spread about these past weeks has a pragmatic bent, they need to fill up space and the brawl in Germany helped them do this. Some of it is purely down to the fact that a bunch of middle-class yobbos cannot get their heads around the fact that boxers hit one another yet happily support rugby. The rest is down to the need to stand at a pulpit and moralise, badly, about something they don’t understand.

Boxing lags far behind the general British public, the British press and football on the list of things that could justifiably be binned.

another stupid article written by someone who's view is so ridicules as to not be worth merit. banning people from earning a living, fine them maybe but 3 year bans, i bet you think anyone with a criminal record should get sacked from there job as well. i find the comment brits abroad rarely cover themselves in glory a idiotic thing to say, seems like you've been watching t.v to much, IMO you are a poor journalist, lazy i'd go as far to say you may not hack but do your research man, when you make a comment back it up with facts, a number of brittish fighters have fought abroad in the last 12 months and this is the only incident i can recall.
