OK maybe equal with those fights but it is utterly huge in terms of being competitive and between 2 of the best 3 fighters in the world at the weight.

OK, maybe the initial excitement got to me a little but let's just say it is up there with the top 5 fights in Britain since Benn v Eubank 2.

Froch is one of my favourite fighters ever and so it really pains me to say that I think Bute wins on points. Froch seems to have trouble pulling the trigger these days. I would be so chuffed if he proves me wrong.

Question 1 - how big is the Capacity of the Capital FM arena and Question 2 - how likely is the common man in getting a ticket for this premiere event?

They should of gambled and gone to the M.E.N on the 2nd of June

It will be quite straightforward getting whatever ticket you want if you are reasonably quick.

Nearly 10k for a fight, be quick it was getting on for capacity for Robin Reid in 2007 - versus Bute in 2012 after two years away will make it a hot ticket.

Holds 8000 im told, Ive never had a problem getting tickets in past but come fight night its always packed , sometimes seems too packed to be honest , the bar area that circles the arena itself seems extremely crowded and uncomfortable , to such an extent that ive not seen at any other venue .


as for whoever asked if he could sell out city ground , i think its possible but would need a quality undercard that particular featured local fighters and maybe a solid support bout involving an established member of matchrooms stable.

Id almost certainly expect to see Leigh Wood , Nathan McIntosh , Adan Amar etc on the card .

I so hope Froch wins for my own personal benefit / my fighters benefit as it would be nice to get some of my lads on the undercard of froch at later dates , id love that at the moment ,
but if Bute wins im not sure wheres left for Froch to go .

I don't think that can happen. David Haye admitted doing exactly the same thing not so long ago and no action was taken. As far as i know, there are no rules against carrying an overmatched opponent for whatever purpose, however ugly this practice is.

I completely agree with this, i can see froch ageing overnight and being pulled out by his corner

Froch isn't getting stopped. He looked like he was taking a few vs Ward but he never slowed down and came on strong at the end. Bute will never be in a position to move in for the kill since he'd have to wear Froch down, and noone does that. Plus he has to be wary of taking a few in return as he doesn't have the evasiveness of Ward, so it's not like he'll be landing big shots without taking some back.

I think Froch can take Bute to an ugly place and I don't think the Canadian will like it at all. This will be close.

If Froch hasn't lost anything then this is a close fight. Bute looks comfortable in his fights most of the time but can be hit and he did look flustered at times by Magee.

Bute has real accuracy though and Carl will have to be careful. But I imagine Froch will have his moments and when he gets them he needs to capitalise on them. I think he can do it.

Why is Bute now so eager to fight Froch?
From what I hear the TV people aren`t fussed on the fight .. he is under no pressure from governing bodies to face Froch either .. he is even seemingly willing to come to Froch`s home town ..

The template to beating Froch has been shown a few times already. Bute thinks he can safely follow it through .. and I believe him too.

Bute wins impressively. Maybe not stoppage. But Bute is huge, so maybe he is too strong for Froch ..

How do you mean? Just asking because I don't see them as similar at all, other than that they both carry their left low.
