He's improved since Jamoye, he's added a lot more to his game and doesn't stand around as much as he did.

Still want to see him in with fringe world class before going onto the world title they're talking about.

Did anyone see the Matkins fight? How did anyone score it? The scoring baffled me, I still can't see how he came to that conclusion.

Jamie Did what he had to do and didn't pick his opponent and the reason jamie looked bigger is cause he is massive for bantom. he needs to fight a fringe fighter in an eliminater to take him to next level but he is progressing nicely and deserves credit

I quite like what I've seen of McDonnell so far. They do need to start stepping him up though I think, he's made enough defences of the European belt now, and like has been said its a pretty weak division in Europe. Start stepping him up against some of the fringe world level fighters and see how he does, is what I'm hoping for in his next fight.

Hopefully the WBC elect an opponent for Jamie to fight as a final eliminator. Someone in their top 5 willing to take the fight who has been active recently.

Ivan Pozo's best time has gone, he was a good flyweight, but his prepararation and fighting skills aren't propper for a EBU championship, less when McDonnell is at the doors of fighting for a world Chmpionship.

Then the EBU have serious questions as to how Bouzaine was the mandatory challenger

He's a former undefeated EBU champ, he's been inactive of late but didn't actually lose his title challenge so is still eligable for an EBU title fight. It's not like Europe is stacked with talent at bantam.

It's not his record or the division per se that I have an issue with, I have an issue with a guy who hasn't fought in almost 2 years walking into a title fight of any sort.
