Terry was a mentally-strong fighter. He refused to lose (and never did lose as a pro). He was shafted of the chance to win an Olympic gold medal in 1980 when the old farts at the ABA said he had to fight Joey Frost in a box-off. Marsh had beaten Frost in winning the ABA welterweight title that year. Frost took his place and won two fights in sensational style before losing to an East German in the quarters. Marsh would definitely have won a medal. The gold at his weight was won by Cuban Andres Aldama, who beat John Mugabi in the final (4-1 on the cards)

No, but presuming he took the same route as Joey Frost in the games, he would have won bronze. Incidentally, not a lot of people know this, but Pete Hanlon outpointed Venezuela's Antonio Esparragoza in the same 1980 games, later to win the WBA featherweight title from Steve Cruz (who had shocked McGuigan).
