That was a bad stoppage. Maxwell looks to have lost his balance but nothing more.

Rose won a clear unanimous decision. 119-110 twice and 119-111. Max put in a good gutsy effort and had a lot of success with uppercuts.

a good win for rose i had it 118-112. hard fought fight and considering how there last outing went and definatly played on roses mind abit, fair play to maxwell who put in a galiant effort feels there more to come from rose a fight between rose and webb or a rematch with aaron should be next if webb gets past hall and aaron doesnt go up to middleweight.

Matthew Hall and Sam Webb are fighting in a final eliminator at the end of the month so I presume the winner will be Rose's next opponent.

This was a voluntary defence, Brian wanted to avenge his only career loss and every credit to him for getting back in there with a guy who knocked him out cold he didn't have to give maxwell another chance but it was a fight everyone wanted to see again, I think people on here jump on people to easy.. Give him some credit he deserves it.. Oh and well done to max it takes 2 to make a good scrap

Fair play to Brian he got his tactics spot on. We knew Rose was a better boxer so tried to draw him into a brawl which he avoided and kept his dicipline he showed a lot tonight and i think heel go from strength to strength.
I had it a bit closer than judges but the right man got the verdict but Max will be back and hopefully we may be able to get a few wins and get him an english title shot.

He's always ready for a tear up is max and hes always in tremendous shape and I reckon he deserved a shot at the title with all the dubious Descions and stoppages he has on his record. Max is a much better boxer/fighter than his record suggests and only the most prepared boxers beat him. An English shit against Lloydy would be interesting ;) :)

A good effort by Maxwell but Rose showed his extra bit of class. Maxwell-Ochieng would be good for the english title.

Ochieng is the English champion at present mate, shame the fight with Lloyd did not come off before for the English, I think Max would have won that one and at least had the English Title for his efforts, but not meant to be, I think Max might get another shot down the line, because that seems to be the BBB of control's way, once you have fought for one, you get another chance, Maxwell did not let himself down against Rose, so in defeat he has not harmed his standing.

Who said he deserved a shot? John merely said "Brian if your up for losing your title i have another man that will take that up rapid".

John was suggesting a voluntary defence (not a mandatory one).

Tom Costello definitely does not deserve a shot and he is not ready for the likes of Brian Rose yet. He is a decent prospect though.

Tom costello definitely doesn't deserve a shot at the title yet, although I think he would beat Rose now. I have no doubt that he will become British Champion one day. Great body puncher, nasty streak, got all the moves and has a good boxing brain in his corner in John. Still some to learn but 100% one to watch.

Who is your source that said Brian called Jamie out? Did you see his tv interview in Saturday night? Jamie cox would get frustrated with Brian and end up getting himself DQ he was a liability in his last fight.. But I'm not here to argue with anyone just letting ppl now Brian doesn't go around shouting his mouth off it's not in his nature

If that's what you take as calling out then we have 2 very different views, he's merely mentioned jamies name because he holds the commonwealth belt he's not shouting it from the roof tops.. I agree with Adam1991. Jamie Cox was mentioned simply in answer to a question. In no way was it "calling out" and for anyone to think it was is laughable. Brian Rose is a genuine nice guy who is respectful of everyone and doesn't call people out.
