Dear me, that would be unacceptable even by his standards, surely? Don't take it out on the children, Del!

I can see Haye applying for his license pretty sharpish so he can get his punishment out of the way.

In a strange way it could be a good thing for him. I like it when fighters are out of their comfort zone.

Go to the states or Europe and re-build.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, it was only a scuffle

Its not just the scuffle, its the slap and the spit added on to that which has got him in trouble. If it was just the scuffle he would of only got a fine i reckon.

Give over, man. Haye doesn't need a licence. He'll never fight in the UK again.

He's still young enough to come back from this but the thing that worries me is that without boxing imagine the trouble he could get into.

I meant he's still young enough to have a couple of years out of the sport. As a heavyweight he's still a baby.

Was there any need for all the randomly capped up words in the board's release?

"The British Boxing Board of Control deplore what occurred at the weigh-in, in the ring before the contest commenced and at the post contest Press Conference in respect of the World Heavyweight Championship contest between Vitali Klitschko and Dereck Chisora.

"Such behaviour brought the Sport of Boxing, the British Boxing Board of Control and all licence holders into disrepute.

"Dereck Chisora, on his own admission, did not behave in a manner consistent with that of a Professional Boxer and let down, not only himself and his family, but, also, all those licence holders who behave in a professional manner.

"The Stewards of the British Boxing Board of Control want to make it absolutely clear that such behaviour by any licence holder will not be tolerated. Accordingly, they have decided that Dereck Chisora is not a fit and proper person to hold a British Boxing Board of Control Boxers Licence and his licence has been withdrawn with immediate effect.

"With regard to David Haye, he is not a licence holder of the British Boxing Board of Control who consequently have no jurisdiction over him. However, if he should apply for a licence with the British Boxing Board of Control the part he played in the disgraceful scenes that occurred in the post contest Press Conference will be considered and taken into account by the Stewards before any decision is made."

None of these words should be capped up.

Good point about the criminal record. Would he even get a visa for the US, let alone a work permit

Probably depends on how much money he has or can make for an already rich person.

Cue David Haye getting a licence an instant after he reapplies for one with the bbboc.

Anyone else remember Tyson coming over here to fight after every state in the usa refused to licence him because he bit a chunk out of Holyfield's ear?
At least they're consistant.

I don't think people realise that getting a licence in America is probably harder because the commissions are strict over there. If a boxer gets his licence withdrawn from him in the UK it is highly unlikely he will get one in the US until he gets the UK one back.

They should have just banned him for 6 months or so.

It is not really that surprising in all honesty with all of the outcry that came following Chisora's utterly appalling conduct pre and post fight that Board of Control probably had no choice but to do it to show such acts are not acceptable by an active British fighter to save the sport from being damaged further so there is a PR edge to the decision to be seen to acting tough but quietly that might give it back to him in a while.

So I can only guess if Haye applies for a license in the next year that it will be rejected?

Saying that if either one had a fight against a big enough name in Germany, the Germans or any other country would be happy to comply.

It is all about money!!

I actually have had my last two fights on a Venuzuelian license and I can't even spell it!

The BBBoC ban him for some pantomime , yet allow others in boxing to get away with financial murder.

Did they fine him?
