Maloney is good for the sport, I hope he reconsiders, but am willing to bet he won't regardless of the circumstances.

i am still trying to get my head around the note darren's so called mate sent to him. if it was written as reported it was hardly the words of a mate was it? to me that note pushed him over the edge. so rather than finger pointing at maloney it should be the so called friend who gets the finger pointed at him

Reading his comments on boards and on twitter he does sometimes seem to put everyone else down (other boxers, promoters etc) and have pops at them which does seem a bit jealous and immature, and he doesn't seem to get on/mix with anyone else in boxing other than his own people*.
Which is a shame cos he seems to be a really nice fella and cares about his fighters, puts on some good shows year after year, seen it all, done it all.
Perhaps the pressure of being at the top of the business has got to him, he's had a lot of shit thrown at him what hasn't been his fault.
*i.e sure i've seen him have slanging matches with Jane, and even today or yesterday with Steve Bunce, not 100%.
Seems to be angry at everyone else - even had a pop at me on twitter before cos I moaned about X Factor lol (Mrs was watching it)

I genuinely hope this is just a passing comment from Frank and not something that he aims on carrying out.
Frank is an absolute diamond and a credit to British boxing. His upcoming show on May 19th will establish him as a firm favourite amonst Liverpool fight fans as David Price becomes the city's first British heavyweight champion.
Hope all is well Frank and I look forward to the rest of your journey, whichever route it may take.
Keep up the good work.

Mr Maloney is alright. He came up to Doncaster in a right big fornicate off limo and parked up outside the Prince Of Wales on Balby Road. He'd come to scout some local lads (including Pete Gabittus); he was alright and got a couple of lads some bouts. He put £50 quid behind the bar before he left. He made a good impression

Speak as I find - haven't really ever spoken to him but have reported on his shows and he seems a very genuine, caring fella without a hint of arrogance.
I like his shows as well and he has done a hell of a lot for boxing in the North East in the last 18-24 months or so.
Would be a massive miss if he did quit and anyone who blames him for the loss of Darren Sutherland is misguided IMO
