It would be wiser for you Brits to just ignore Gilfoid.

In his articles he does little but discredit and ridicule UK fighters because he has some kind of hateful mental obsession.

Better to just not read what he writes, he's not worth your time.

You can all do whatever you wanna do with this.
In an interview, Sakio Bika, who fought both Ward and Bute, said that if both would fight tomorrow, Bute would be on top of Ward.

That being said, Carl Froch performance against Ward looked timid, because he is not technically good enough and too slow for Ward.

Do you think Froch can look better against Bute?

Bute is very good technically, very fast and he hits hard. His shots to the body come because his opponents are too concentrated on protecting their chin against Bute's power, which open their liver. And Bute is very precise.

Yes, Froch has a chance to beat Bute, but it has to be with a KO, which I would be surprised would happen. When he first won the belt agains Berrio, Bute took some very good shots, and Berrio was one powerful puncher at his time.

Bute can take a punch, beleive me, and he can punch quite hard. His technique makes him even more dangerous.

As you all know I’m a Froch fan. He’s done a lot for British boxing fans and has really shown everyone in the sport that having the right attitude to who you fight means you can win some and lose some.

Froch will be Bute’s biggest test. Bute is just another hard opponent for Froch.

As for Ward. Decent bloke. Horrible but very effective fighter. You can say what you like about Froch on the night but he gave Ward his hardest fight of the tournament.

Bute will rightfully be favourite but he often has a round or two of discomfort. I seem to remember Magee landing a few decent shots. I think Froch, if he hasn’t got old overnight, will make this a great fight win or lose.

I think you misunderstand tho. We don't have an issue with this jounalist having the opinion that Bute will win, we have a problem that he has put his arguments across in such an infantile and unbalanced way. The way you've put your argument across in your post is better than his piece and he gets paid for that crap.

Boxrec has quality writers on its books which regularly produce the quality articles that is badly needed. Instead some of you want to write about Scott Gilfoid. Doesn't make sense.

Scott once again picks the guy who isn't British
My overriding and first instinct reading the thread title was..........WHO THE FFUCK IS SCOTT GILFORD AND SHOULD I CARE WHAT HE THINKS?.....why have you started this thread...no one knows who he is? And by the sounds of it, his opinion isnt valued either..

I never take anything that Giford writes seriously, its like listening to the pub big mouth yabbering away. He basically always picks against the British fighter or says the British fighter is in against a bum etc etc. However Bute is a tough fight for Froch, hes got an awkward style an is at his peak about, and while he hasnt fought as many top flight fighters as Carl this may be to his advantage as he is probably the fresher fighter. Bute has fought Glenn Johnson and seemed to have an easier time with him than Carl did as Glan foud it much harder to land cleanly on Bute than he did on Froch. And while Johnson may have slipped between the froch and bute fights this is something Carl needs to look at. I hope Froch is not taking Bute lightly as he seemed to do Ward before his fight as I think Bute could be as awkward a fight for Carl as Ward was.

I wanted to read more into the Johnson vs Bute fight, because Lucian looked sensational.

Then it emerged Johnson was carrying a severely damaged elbow (it was detached off the bone) following the Froch fight and was advised that he needed an immediate op on it. Following the Bute fight he ended up having both of them operated on - as the good elbow was also about to give up on him too.

Then i was told Bute was in Johnson's dressing room before he fought Froch and have often trained together and are very friendly. So it was a paid-dance in my opinion, no bad blood, no intent on putting big pressure on like he normally does.

I think people should realise that Scott is only 14!... he writes his articles during lunchtime or when he has a detention. Ive heard that hes known to empty his elderly neighbours garbage cans and go shopping for his 90 year old grandmother. So, he cant be all bad, ...lets cut him some slack. :box:
