Sad thing is it was a brilliant fight and both lads' efforts were overshadowed by the post-fight rumpus.

The rematch should be another cracker as their styles mesh very well!

I totally agree. That's why I find it odd that Khan's such a big (4-1 on) favourite for this fight...

not the end of the line for khan if he loses - he's still a huge draw. Who wouldnt watch a Khan fight? His fights are always exciting as hell - he'll be in a few more FOTY contenders in the newxt few years.

Khan lost the first fight because he is apparently an on top fighter and has no boxing brain to fall back on when things don't go his way, evidenced in the late rounds versus Maidana and the whole fight versus Campbell. He doesn't seem to be much of a thinking fighter like his stable mate Pac Man.

I for one think Campbell will beat him again, but Joe Cortez, the judges and HBO will unite to ensure a picture of Khan 'dominating and outpointing' Campbell to regain his titles is painted.

I cant see khan losing, i actually think it might be an early stoppage this time. He just needs to calm down and put more power into his shots.

Its not unwarranted peterson was lucky he was fighting at home, and khan did all the damage. When khan sat on his punches and calmed down a bit he was hurting peterson. true but i think if he loses then he is unlikely to become a great, more like an ortiz type character.

As for Khan doing all the damage, if so, then why was he the 1 on his bike? Khan had no answer for his relentless pressure and resorted to fouling to get Peterson off him. I don't contest that Peterson was hurt on occassion (more late on, he wasnt hurt by the 2 controversial knockdowns) but Khan was the 1 who looked more likely to get stopped.

1. he was hurt, imo he was hurt more in this fight than he was in the maidana fight.

2. the point deductiosn were fair, and if another ref in another city didnt deduct them, he wouldnt be doign his job properly. I cant remember the last time i seen a fighter foul so often & consistantly as Khan in this fight. He simply wasn't for taking the Ref's warnings either, rightf rom the word go the ref was telling Khan "stop pushing" "stop pushing" "stop pushing" - Khan blatantly ignored him, even after 1 point deduction, and further numerous warnings, he KEPT on doing it. The ref is there for a reason.

im not sure what planet you're on khan wasnt hurt, he especially wasnt hurt anywhere near to how he was in the maidana fight. Also the best refs in the world like smoger have already said they wouldnt have deducted a point, the ref had also told peterson to stop leading with this head and threatened to deduct a point but only penalised khan. Can you name me a title fight where a fighter was deducted a point for pushing like that never mind 2? The ref was poor khan took the fight too lightly Peterson did very well but he was lucky to get the nod and its unlikely to happen again. thats the long and short of it.
