Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
He is now saying he wont fight Brook because of Hearn calling him out after the Hatton fight. Make up your mind. It looks like Khan called him a queer because Brook called him a queen.

If you had a disabled, gay brother - would you be offended if everyone referred to him as Desparado's gay mong bro ?desperados wrote:G0mez wrote:Clearly a massive homophobic.diggler wrote:and he said kell speaks like a queer
He's meant to be an NSPCC ambassador, doing videos for Childline on bullying - then saying Kell Brook talks like "a queer" which is clearly insulting and derogatory. Especially when half his followers are aged about 12.
indeed, the world is too politically correct these days, i hate how offended everyone gets over words like queer and mong. I agree however though, Khan can't represent such org's and behave like he does.
Lol
Clearly though, if your anti-bullying videos are plastered all over the NSPCC website then you'd engage pea-brain before talking

I was far from offended its just a pr's nightmare a public figure saying it, if it was a few mates in a pub no one would give a s hit
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
Just goes to show how deserved is the cynicism some of us afford celebs being unnecessarily public about charity work.
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
I tend to go along with reggie's opinion here. Khan is not a prick in so much as he is stupid and says stupid things. Put that down to age, immaturity or whatever.mrbassie wrote:It baffles me that people root for this guy, he's a complete moron and a prick to boot.

Nah, just lack of intelligence. How old is he now,24-25? You know what's right and wrong at that age.bengulnaci1 wrote:I tend to go along with reggie's opinion here. What I can't stand is when fighters say "I don't want to give him a payday". It's bollocks, it doesn't exist as an argument. If a rival talks about you in public, or annoys you, surely you'd relish the chance to beat him in front of everyone?

The "I don't want to give him a payday" line is bogus in this case.
In a recent interview, Khan said it was like the Ricky hatton Junior Witter situation, which is complete bollocks.
Kell is the popular one: he can sell out an arena and the general public (especially women) are really warming to him as he gets more exposure. In contrast, the more exposure Khan has had, the less people like him. He seems to have very poor people advising him on his media relations, not to mention the man in the hat fiasco and careless driving.
The fight will happen down the line. When it does, probably next Summer, it will be Kell Brook who will be selling the tickets.

Everytime he talks in public Khan comes across like one of those spoiled single children... a bad sport, totally humourless and none too bright either.

He's an odd odd character is our Amir. He needs a better PR team around him and one that will get him off twitter. I believed the hype up until the limond fight then due to his, his families and fans behaviour went right off him. He stepped to the plate against Madina never thought he'd take that fight so started following him again but now with this and all the arrogance before and excuses after being beat by Petterson I've gone back off him.
As people say he will get beat again and then who will need who. Khan best be careful as after the olympics he may not even be the best boxer in his household!
Wonder if you could get odds on brook to beat both brothers in the next 5-8 years!!

I think Amir is absolutely bang out of order here.
I've not really got any problem with him and Kell calling each other queens and that's just silly, immature banter on both their parts.
But to then make very serious accusations about Kell's private life and personality (Class A drug user; criminal) is a different matter altogether.
For the record, I can confirm that Kell DOES NOT have a criminal record whatsoever. He was convicted of a common assualt but appealed to Crown Court where he was acquitted. In the meantime, he served a couple of months of a tagged curfew order.
I can say for sure that Kell is certainly not a drug user. I have never asked him if he tried owt when he was younger and can't see the relevance of it. But i can say categorically that he has no drugs matters recorded against him whatsoever.
Can Amir say that he has no criminal record?

It's true that Kell did get stabbed. Amir will hopefully by now have had someone explain to him that this means Kell was the VICTIM of an assault.
I really hate all these bogus excuses - 'i won't fight him, he's a bad role model! i won't fight him, i don't like his promoter!' Rubbish. He won't fight Kell because it's a 50-50 fight against a live domestic opponent and he doesn't want to take the risk.
Having said he won't fight a bad role model, he immediately calls for a fight against a convicted wife beater! Unreal!
Kell doesn't need Amir - he doesn't need anyone, he's just sold out a 10k Arena (has Amir ever sold that many seats in the UK? Genuine question.)
What is really unfair here is that although Kell has called out Amir numerous times - which Amir may find irritating and inconvenient - he has never had a go at him for gossip about his lifestyle. Amir has made nasty accusations and many people believe that mud sticks. It's out of order and Amir owes Kell an apology.
On a different note, someone really should tell Amir to get off Twitter. It shows him in a terrible light.

Unfortunately for Khan, he won't be remembered in the fight game. Hamed could be a dick but at least he put on a great show and entertained. We all know he will come unstuck against the very best and though he is a very good fighter, he definately is more hype than reality. The only fight i give him credit for is the Maidana fight and i still don't know how he wasn't knocked out in that 10th round. Everyone knows the score with Khan. When Mayweather was asked about fighting Khan, Mayweather said "Let me tell you something about Khan, i'm more popular in his country than he is......." Everyone started laughing at the conference. That says an awful lot.
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
great post Dan
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
Agreed, superb post Dan. I do think Kell needs Amir a little more than you suggest, but I agree with most of your points. I just think that while Brook might be more popular, he's not more known in this country than Khan is. Not at the moment.
In fairness, if I was Khans manager, I'd want Brook bringing more to the table for the risk/reward factor to be good enough to take the fight. Thats not saying he should/shouldn't have the fight, its just saying that Brook is clearly too dangerous for Khan to take the fight as a gimme - and I think that will be the sort of fight Khan seeks if he fights here.

Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
Agree with all that, King.King Geedorah wrote:Amir will always be far more well known than Kell no matter how far Kell goes. That isn’t a slur on Kell, just a fact as Amir came along at a time when Muslims were under fire and when he won silver people could say, “Behold the Muslim, he speaks Northern and supports BWFC, he proves that you can be both British and a Muslim without wanting to introduce Sharia Law in Tower Hamlets”.
Plus he is widely know in both the US and the Philippines due to his links with Manny and the fact that Floyd at least knows who Khan is. Throw in the skink caused by his last fight and his reaction to it and you have a guy who is widely known. As it stands, Amir’s had one fight less and has taken on better opposition.
Kell has a good shot of becoming a better overall fighter in my opinion, but he needs to get a shift on and has to start putting guys away or show the extra gears that we have heared about.
If he gets and stops Maidana then it is onwards and upwards.
Kell's unexpected commerical success is so dramatic that he and his team now have to ensure they don't fall into a Calzaghe / Hatton style trap of milking the big ticket sales, high TV figures and taking low risk fights.
Personally I think Cottey, Cintron or Maidana would be superb fights but i hear Maidana is tied up with something else. We'll see.
Returning to Amir, i think Peterson beats him again in May. Will be genuinely interested to see where he would go from there. Would Kell be persuaded to give him a pay day, i wonder?
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
At least he seems to have a driver these days....
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
A fight is being built up, it will happen late this year or next year, at the moment I think kell won't know what's hit him, 12 to 24 months who knows
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
If these accusations arent true then kell should sue...
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
im not convinced its even khan posting most of the time, but the boy needs to control either his posting or the people posting for him he makes a fool out of himself.
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
Khan is a t@at basically.
Re: Brooks a coke head and got stabbed in club - Apparently
I was roughly of the same opinion, but I've seen outlandish comments when he was ripping McCracken to pieces, interjected with tweets of his lunch or himself in his rooftop jacuzzi - all within moments of each other.kingfinn wrote:im not convinced its even khan posting most of the time, but the boy needs to control either his posting or the people posting for him he makes a fool out of himself.
