alex has some big wins in him yet, though i'm still astounded they chose the best heavy BOXER contender in the world to see where alex is at.

he would have a fair chance vs most of the other contenders though.

I agree Buster, Kevin Johnson was all wrong for Alex but good on them for taking the challenge no one can knock him for that! Losing to Kevin Johnson isnt a death sentence!

I'm U.S. born but hold residency in NZ. I train in the U.S. for fights as that is where my trainer lives.

Also watch for Jason Williams hes continuing to improve and faces his sternest test in former New Zealand and South Pacific Heavyweight Champion AMosa Zinck next Friday night at the Corporate Box in Auckland's CBD. Zinck has never been stopped, is a experienced and tough campaigner so will be a good test to see where Jason is at. Jason himself is strong and while not tall is big at a solid 115kgs will be in some good fights before hes done

Sorry your right he was OBA (Oceania Boxing Association) Champion not South Pacific, same thing really though

For those he didnt see the fight Live and Free via the net, Williams beat Zinck UD4 dropping him in the 4th and final round also. He's now matched with former NZ Amateur Hemi Takarua who is currently 1-0-0 as a pro. Should be a good stoush!

When Jai was about 15, Mundine and Green both hand picked Jai Opetaia as a sparring partner, for a young lad, he has alot of ring experience. He is a southpaw and has beaten some of the very best amateur boxers here in Aus. I hope he goes well at the Olympics. I say he shouldnt rush into turning pro, he should hold on until after the 2016 Olympics.

Kali has not retired. He is in the quarter finals of a prizefighters 3x3 tournament in London on June 20.

leapai is an exciting fighter and can make some good money still.

dimori and browne are just musclemen...very little skill, mobility or stamina

of the bunch i would say Tupou is the best boxer...hes nice to watch

lord knows why he hasnt followed up on the donnel holmes win in the states.....he's way too inactive but there are some good fights out there

tupou v bryant jennings would be a great fight between slick and intelligent boxers.

as for Kali...id be weary of the Prizefighter line-up.....most of these fall through. kevin johnson def wont box....and Kali will probably pull out

So far you have never got anything right.

Meehan and Leapai are still 1 and 2. I wouldn't write Leapai off just because he lost to Johnson. No shame in that. de Mori and Browne have never fought anyone even near the ability of Johnson.

I would like to take on Browne. I fought DeMori on 10 days notice and Alex on less than a week....hence my highest weight ever. Just give me at least 30 days notice. Browne is big but limited, imo.

Pretty rich coming from a fighter who has come here twice and been KOed in short order twice.

I doubt it. I can see Johnson pulling out again as he may well have bigger goals, but Kali isn't going to get any better offers at 40-plus and coming off a loss to a gatekeeper.
