I agree and i favour Groves big time if they fight again. If the rumors are true and the Stiglitz fight is off then this should happen in the summer
People are giving him props on twitter for scoring another stoppage tonight, his opponent had been stopped by an old&past it Robin Reid not long ago,so this win proves sod all, like 99%of his wins...

Actually I'd like to see Reid vs Anderson

Shame, but in the long run this could be a blessing in disguise for Groves' career. The longer he keeps his '0' the more he'll earn/be able to pull the crowds in.

I've been told DeGale is scheduled to fly to Denmark on Wednesday. I've got a feeling that flight might get cancelled.

Wasn't there rumours JDG was discussing signing with Sauerland lately ?

I don't know what's going off with Groves lately - that's 3 fights he has pulled out of, plus a story in the papers that police were looking into threats of 'shooting him in the ring'.

Hopefully his withdrawal was for the title shot, and then he did get a break in camp , and that's it's nothing more than that.

They're all plenty young enough.

Maybe I'm a bit strange, but I don't mind Degale, Groves or Anderson. They're all decent.

I'm a Groves fan however there is alot of irony to this. Also Anderson has alot of plaudits so I really wanna see him fight Groves to see what the fuss is about.

But why a UK fighter want to sign for German promotor makes no sense! 3 fights on the Trot for Groves now!

I think the fight after smith which he pulled out was a fake injury cos Booths fighters never fight that close together. You could tell it was said in heat of the moment he wanted to fight so quick after Smith.

Ticket sales, previous fight fee not being paid, or injury take your pick!!

But three on the trot is very bad luck! He will have fought 2 rounds in a year come June.

Good point. He gets the best sparring however nothing beats the big fights. 2rounds at his age and this stage is not good at all. Im a fan of getting young fighters on undercards abroad and would have hoped to see Groves do that more often.

Glad I did not think about going to support him again! Will he next fight be WBO shot as his mandatory or Anderson. All will depend of Stielgletz is allowed a fight. Abraham was meant to be fighting the winner.

I can see Groves fighting Anderson then getting the winner of Stieglitz/Abraham. I cant see him fighting anyone other than Anderson in his next fight.

Steiglitz gets who now then> Abraham, DeGale, Sanavia, Smith or do we end up with a left field one like Allan Green or Sakio Bika (who has a fight coming up).

I hope this is true.

Magee has the beating of Stieglitz and i'd like to see him pick up this title.

Does Magee have to vacate his interim WBA title?

No he just becomes the Interim WBA Super-Middleweight champion In Recess. Then two fighters can fight for the Vacant Interim WBA Super-Middleweight Championship.

Let's look at this from Stieglitz point of view :

Groves is dangerous and largely unknown in Germany - but more to the point he has withdrew from 3 consecutive fights now.

Stieglitz boxed just once last year, was p*ssed about by Kessler for what seemed ages, then managed a quick bum fight in Jan to pay the rent.

He's not the headliner, that's Marco Huck - so I believe he will want that pay cheque and wont fook about waiting for Groves to heal. Adam Booth has already started saying "he will heal in 10 weeks or less" to bridge the situation, but I think he's blown it myself.

Unless there is a big show in Germany it can be slotted onto, or Stieglitz agrees to a pay-increase and comes to the UK, then i think realistically it wont happen now.

Would love to be proved wrong mind.

The WBA really need to stop f**king around and create a Silver or Bronze title. It's what we all want.

Personally, I'd be happy with the vacant International interim bronze.
