I don't see any oxymoron at all. If I called Chavez the greatest fighter of alltime, I would still be in a tiny minority on this forum.
Chavez never met an opponent you have heard of until after 50 fights, so that's a pretty poor point. His chin was clearly great, just like the fighters he never beat. I don't blame you for skipping over that.

I suppose this is a viable reason if he was fighting at 85-90% of the other guys weights, but once your in a division it shouldn't affect anything imo.
