Most American writers give Oscar a slim chance at best.

Just getting back to Witter for a moment, wasn't he no 1 contender for Hatton's title and supposed to be getting a shot at him? Why then should he fight Pinto? He is already no1 in line so has nothing to gain. More to the point, it must be regarded as suspicious that your own promoter wants you to go in against a dangerous banger when you are only on a loser...

Witter has never been #1 contender for Hatton's title to the best of my knowledge. He was however #1 contender at one point I think for the WBO title held by Judah.

However, the bout with Pinto was ruled as a final eliminator for some reason, and when Witter pulled out of that one, he was dropped down the WBO rankings.

When Witter attempted to call out Hatton in Boxing News that time I'm sure it said "No.1 contender for the WBU title" on the ad.

Not that that would make a scrap of difference. Bloody tin pot belt.

Witter signed with FW expecting the Hatton fight.....I can understand why he was frustrated but Warren lashes out on anyone. I hope Witter comes back with real truth

I thought that Witter had been signed with Warren for a long time, correct me if I am wrong, but he didn't sign to get a fight with Hatton. I recall Witter was calling Hatton out since before the Pendleton fight, and Hatton wasn't the big star he is now at that point.

thats why the WBU was invented

if Hatton still had the british, BBOC would have demanded a match, Hatton is Safe with the WBU, and can fight anyone

yeah true enuff. i'm starting to believe some of the naysayers now :( i was watching the tony pep fight as well and after it there going on about possible opponents, and zab judah's name comes up. ian darke is saying that match would be easy enuff to make and then billy graham goes "we know where we want hatton to go this year" and that was 3 yrs ago, and grahams still saying the same things about him going for it this year, just like he was 3 yrs ago :-?

Witter was the No 1 contender from Nov 2002 to Dec 2003 in the WBO ratings 12 months.

From what I hear ZAB JUDAH should have boxed witter after beating DEMARCUS CORLEY, but on the same night JUDAH beat No 10 rated fighter Jamie Rangel in 1 round Witter was supposed to fight PINTO for the interim Title, which really doesnt make any sense really does it.If Judah was available to fight on the same night as Witter why didnt the champion fight the number 1 contender Witter who had been waiting for a year?????????????????????????

Smell anything fishy

Judah had no interest in witter aft er the first debacle to be fairr and who could blame him, no one is gonna pay to watch wqitter do Seb Coe for 12 rounds are they.
To me the bloke has had his chance and should have taken it, he became obessessed with Hatton and Hatotn went bollox dont need you and went for big names and higher profile names.
Witter bottled it agaionst pinto so Hatton is gonna take him on now, dont you feel Ricky or Frank is rubbing Junior's nose in it.
One has to say if you talk the talk, walk the walk and witter consistently hasnt when it comes to it.
