He's not trolling. Maloney promoted Tony Oakey, Oakey got his licenced suspended at his prime years cause of drugs.... did he fight on any unlicenced show (with Maloney's backing) during that suspension.
Re: Allegedly channel, FW, and Haye V Chisora!
Yeah it was horrible viewing. He was bigging himself up by talking about the Michael Watson case and how he bailed the BBBoC out - painting the BBBoC as bad guys regarding how the Derek Chisora hearing went.MachoMan09 wrote:I won't be subscribing to the channel airing the fight because I can't justify the expense. I'm not a Sky subscriber either. I'm not opposed to the fight, though. It's great that the sport is in the headlines - although I will say that I think both Haye and Chisora are scum.
On a side-note, whilst I didn't see Bunce's Boxing Hour, I know Stu Jones isn't the type to make things up, for Warren to use the Sutherland case as a means of getting at Maloney proves what a spiteful, horrible wretch he is.
Then he turned on Matchroom and Maloney, cause they are sky promoters. The only bit of dirt he had on Matchroom related to Snooker and Darts (and I am not sure how accurate he was about Snooker - saying that Barry Hearn formed a break away group of players in Snooker?). And then he went below the belt on Maloney with the Sutherland case.... "they should be worrying about their own business".

On the subject of allegedly i think it's a great step forward now its gone to online mode also, no longer do i have to fork out for the whole sports package just to watch the boxing.

Frank Maloney 'these guys are two losers, it's happening because of a punch-up in a press conference". makes no mention of the licence situation. If being in trouble outside the ring equals a loser or putting two fighters together who've both lost there last fights then Franks worked with plenty of 'em...

Mr Frank W Must Love Money, Allegedly.
To promote a fight that the BBBofC won't touch and get the Lux federation involved, just so he can promote a fight.
Morals out of the window, he must love the money.... allegedly.

So cause Maloney didn't make a reference about the licence itself, his comments were not about the fact these two are not licenced? Off course its an issue.
Every single major promoter has dealt with "bad boys" (I won't mention the long list of FW promoted shows that involved bad boys before this fight) - but Maloney hasn't dealt with one who fought without a BBBoC licence.

The Board have quite clearly said so:
"This is nothing more than an attempt to circumvent the decision of the Stewards of the British Boxing Board of Control, in respect of Dereck Chisora, for monetary gain."
Re: Allegedly channel, FW, and Haye V Chisora!
Theres been smack talk and press conference brawls since boxing began its part and parcel of the sport explain what the bigger picture is? Its just a bunch of holier than now people trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, talking about how boxing needs to take a stance, i dont see people in any other sport getting banned significantly.dondada wrote:He's not trolling. Let me ask you this which is worst for the "Kids" as glen mcrory put it -
suarez racially abusing another player, then the entire liverpool squad wearing shirts supporting him, refusing to shake the player he insulted hand and only being banned for 5 weeks.
Marlon King being sacked for beating a woman outside a night club then given a job by another club the next day.
Rooney sleeping with prossies.
Jermain Penant playing football whilst wearing a tag.
Roy Keane jumping on a mans leg and breaking it.
Craig Bellamy attacking Reissa with a golf club.
I could go on forever we have rapes, thefts, racial attacks, affairs, pitch fights, putting cigars out in youth players eyes in football and noone is bothered but Haye and Chisora have a little scuffle at a presser and suddenly they should be banned for life and boxing has gone down the toilet. I bet a whole lot more kids watch football than they do boxing. Old Joey Barton has probably done all of the above and hasnt been banned significantly, its a joke double standards for boxing and other sports.

Hope Joey didn't read that post..... anyway, double standards or not.... the facts are they deemed Dereck Chisora unfit to fight. Whether it is harsh or not, thats their call..... they AINT stated such a thing about Haye - just David can't be arsed to even ask the board for his licence.kingfinn wrote:Theres been smack talk and press conference brawls since boxing began its part and parcel of the sport explain what the bigger picture is? The BBBoC didn't ban Chisora for life - they suspended his licence indefinately...... they never gave a date when Chisroa could reapply, but they categorically said that he would be able to reapply.
I wouldn't have a problem of Chisora vs Haye under BBBoC rules..... why couldn't they wait. Maybe FW realised that Chisora might not get his licence back - it was ironic how Warren spoke of Chisora's sorrow and yet they still wouldn't grant him an appeal date..... then when Chisora spoke on the Bunce show he stated the only thing he regretted was talking about guns and shooting Haye.No regrets about the provoking, no regrets about his behaviour to the klitchsko's.
Anyway, for me their behaviour is irrelevant to this whole discussion. As you rightfully say, worst crimes have been committed and people have been allowed to box. Problem is, these two are not licenced.... whether you agree with that decision or not isn't the point..... why couldn't they wait for the appeal etc.
Tyson coming here to fight Francis and Savarese created a media storm which blows this out of the water... there were women's right protesters meeting him at the airport and everything. Warren's line for those fights.... "he's done his time for his crime, and is now deemed fit to fight"...... whether you agree or not, Warren cannot say the same for Chisora, and Haye can't even be bothered to try and get his old licence back.

What do you expect from some people. the case was over here not in Ireland and other were looking to blame someone for the death of a mixed up young man,I can understand that ( Mr Warren can say what he likes i can sleep at ease at night re this). There a lot that could be brought up about others pass but thats not the way to behave every man to there own way. Re: Allegedly channel, FW, and Haye V Chisora!
Here's the thing. If the BBBofC ban Warren if this fight goes through, then none of Warren's fighters will be able to defend or fight for a British title if FW is promoting the fight. Mr F clearly hasn't thought this through. What a flippin' gonk he is.
No doubt the Lux Boxing Federation will come up with it's own title if need be,

Re: Allegedly channel, FW, and Haye V Chisora!
I noticed Hayemaker promotions are involved in the 'promotion' here. One thing that sprung into my mind that someone on here might be able to confirm. Was Hayemaker promotions involved at all with the Haye v Wlad fight? I am right in saying Haye earnt very close to or equal to what Wladimir earnt from their fight aren't I?
Re: Allegedly channel, FW, and Haye V Chisora!
A lot of posters seem to think that Warren is promoting this fight. He is most definitely not. His involvement is as Chisoras manager and as a shareholder in CrapNation. The fight is being promoted by Sauerland and Hayemaker. I can entirely see Warren working a way so he has no official involvement and therefore the Board have no cause to withdraw his license!
On a side note, is Warren, as manager of likely undercard fighters like Buglioni and Skeete going to encourage them to fight on this card when it is likely to see them lose their licences and restrict future opportunities to fight on UK shows and fight for Board sanctioned titles (Lonsdale, English, southern area)? Not sure that is acting in the best interests of his clients, which surely is the number one requirement for a manager.

Re: Allegedly channel, FW, and Haye V Chisora!
Earsjohn.... here is what the BBBoC state regarding what they would do with licence holders.
For the avoidance of doubt, any member of the British Boxing Board of Control who participates in any way in such a promotion will be deemed to have terminated his/her membership of the British Boxing Board of Control and his/her licence therewith, for the reasons stated above.
Participation includes taking any steps directly or indirectly, to arrange, advertise, broadcast, facilitate, officiate or take part in any way in such a promotion.
You don't have to be the official promoter to get in trouble according to the board..... going on Bunce's hour to advertise the fight, speaking at the press conference surely means that FW COULD (and I do emphasise the word could) be on hot water.
It will be interesting what Ringside on Sky says about it today..... Sky was on the banner sponsoring it.
It will be interesting also to see if boxers not affilated with the show start deleting the tweets saying how good the fight is.
