So what do you think was the right thing to do then?

A right think to do would have been a ban a fine and the threat of a permanent ban for chisora, haye should have either been let off or had a 6 month suspended ban.

Everyone would have been happy.

Something like a £5,000 - 10,000 fine and a ban of 3 months or so, or possibly let him off with a warning as he had already lost a lot of his purse for the Vitali fight because of his behaviour, so he had already been punished.

Nothing he did was really very bad, so there was no need to suspend him indefinitely. He fought a pretty clean fight. I think someone purposely headbutting, lowblowing, rabbit punching or hitting their opponent when they are down is worse behaviour than Chisora's actions.

I don't think he should have been banned at all, but a small token ban for his mildly naughty behaviour would have been reasonable.
