The worst think his promoter can do is leave him inactive for a long time, he needs to fight often at this stage in his career.

Why because Price can destroy guys like McDermott and Sexton?

Price needs to step up and fight someone half decent before people act like he can destroy world class fighters like Fury.

We all know mcdermot deserved to win the first fight and I think sexton would give fury a good fight.

I thought Fury won the first McDermott fight. It was only because of the ridiculously wide scorecard from the referee that people go on about that result like it was a robbery. Fury took that fight 8 months after turning professional, it was ambitious matchmaking and it puts Price's cautious matchmaking to shame.

Fury would probably take a couple more rounds than Price to dispose of Sexton, but he would beat him easily.

I genuinally believe that David Price is the real deal. Because when you look at them All the ingredients of a potentially all time great (Super) Heavyweight are there. He has got the height and is always in excellent shape, okay he has not fought as often because he has had injurys and promotional problems in the early stages of his professional career. But he is has looked the real deal in every fights because he has been regularly getting top line sparring because they need someone who fights in a manner similar to the Brothers K which is what Price does. He has the long, accurate left jab which he doubles up very well and he cuts the ring down effectively and has a terrific hook and powerful right hand. He has shown he can bomb opponents out and or he can grind them down before taking them out in a devasting manner which has led to being praised widely here in Great Britain.

I'm actually still in shock that Price would even consider this. It will be a really massive test for him, Perez is in fantastic shape at the minute too, looking very quick and hard hitting in the gym. He is extremely focused ahead of this one.

How does that in any way address my original point? If Neven Pajkic could put him over, it's perfectly plausible that Sexton could, even if Fury is the more complete fighter overall.

Fury could be knocked down by Price, but I very much doubt that Price would find it as easy to do against Fury as he did against McDermott and Sexton. I am not really sure what sort of response you want from me.

Fury wasn't hurt much by Pajkic, if Sexton put him down he probably wouldn't be hurt much either. I think it is very unlikely that Sexton could stop Fury or win more than a few rounds against him.

If the Price v Perez fight comes off and Price wins I see absolutely no sense in coming back and defending the British title, unless it's against Tyson Fury. Beating Perez would propel Price so far above the (with the exception of Fury) UK sceneit would just be a huge step down to be defending his British title. I know a lot of guys here go on about winning it outright but if it's a choice as a fan between seeing Price have more fights at European and World level or winning the Lonsdale belt outright by defending against Skelton, Sprott and Harrison I know what I'd rather.
