My opinion (for what it's worth)
1. Nasser seems a decent kid (it's not him making all the bizarre boasts doing the rounds)
2. He's charismatic, fast, fit and has a good variety of shots (touch predictable though, he ends every combo with a left hook/slap to the body)
3. He seriously lacks power and tends to slap with a partly closed fist.
4. His opposition has been fairly weak thus far (IF he does take this fight we'll learn more about his ability)
5. His Father/Trainer is a complete p*nis who has ensured that Nasser is possibly the most hated fighter in the UK (after Paul Smith) He needs to keep off the forums and stick to training his son. (I personally believe Nasser would be better with another trainer but I can't see that happening)
I know await the inevitable tirade from Saffy as I had the temerity to utter some minor criticisms of his progeny 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 etc etc etc

A good test for Al Harbi like Gavin would have been, will at least show us how much potential he has
Re: Nasser El Harbi Vs Emanuele Della Rosa
Both where different type's of test, Gavin would have been a technical ,speed and movement test, where as Della Rosa is a test of strength, durability and fitness, both big tests, but the Della rosa one is harder because Nasser has to go into the lions den, in Della Rosa's back yard in Rome to win and a WBC title is on the line, with a high ranking.lacollier883 wrote:A good test for Al Harbi like Gavin would have been, will at least show us how much potential he has

If he wins then it could lead to bigger and better things, if he loses at least you get to see what needs working onsafeerah wrote:Both where different type's of test, Gavin would have been a technical ,speed and movement test, where as Della Rosa is a test of strength, durability and fitness, both big tests, but the Della rosa one is harder because Nasser has to go into the lions den, in Della Rosa's back yard in Rome to win and a WBC title is on the line, with a high ranking.lacollier883 wrote:A good test for Al Harbi like Gavin would have been, will at least show us how much potential he has
Do you feel it will be harder at the slightly higher weight, or do you think Nasser can compete at the top at 154
Re: Nasser El Harbi Vs Emanuele Della Rosa
I have spent a lot of time with Nas working on his strength, power and stamina to combat fighting naturally bigger guys, My background was in the martial arts, so I use a lot of methods from the mixed martial arts. Nasser also is only 22 years old, so he is still filling out, so should not be too much of a problem, though Della Rosa is much stronger then most light middles.lacollier883 wrote:If he wins then it could lead to bigger and better things, if he loses at least you get to see what needs working onsafeerah wrote:Both where different type's of test, Gavin would have been a technical ,speed and movement test, where as Della Rosa is a test of strength, durability and fitness, both big tests, but the Della rosa one is harder because Nasser has to go into the lions den, in Della Rosa's back yard in Rome to win and a WBC title is on the line, with a high ranking.lacollier883 wrote:A good test for Al Harbi like Gavin would have been, will at least show us how much potential he has
