Rhys Roberts is on the Brook posters so maybe he has signed a joint deal with them?

Rhys Roberts is finished. In that prizefighter final he demonstrated all the attributes you dont want to see from a fighter when they run into a bit of adversity. A very talented individual but i dont think he has the stomach to go very far.

I think that's a bit harsh.

He was thrown in against a very strong, fringe world class opponent who was leagues above what he had been facing. Not to mention that the fight was over a three round distance, which suited Choi much more than Roberts. He reacted badly, but I'm not going to hold it against him when weighing up the situation he was in.

I know it is unfair writing a prospect off after a loss and especially a 3 round prizefighter loss at that. The prevailing feeling I got from that night was that Roberts did not like getting hit. In the semi against Troy James he took a few and it seemed like he visibly didnt like it. Dont get me wrong there have been great fighters who never get hit often or have poor chins but this was worse than that I felt. Its like his whole style of quick sharp shots is designed so that he doesnt get hit . Not because he has a bad chin but because he really doesnt want to. If you arent able to put yourself in a position where you might get hit you arent going to be able to perform to your best.

That's the party line, anyway.
Yes, he was going bonkers for Froch, but once Eddie gets close, done deal and the fact that Bellew bigged up sky as apposed to Allegedly channel was a big giveaway. Nice guy Tony Bellew, well loved in Liverpool, amongst different nationalities, spoke to some arabs in liverpool, they said that Bomber is the man, he has even been down the Arab community centre's, even chillin out with them, multiracially liked that's the Bomber.
Is this a piss take about the Arabs being a big fan of a guy nicknamed "Bomber"?
Why should he have only white scoucers supporting him ? Liverpool is a very multi racial city, Bellew is a very well liked fighter in liverpool. Why not ? I have yet to see a major boxing event with just white people in it, maybe you have ?

Roberts showed he doesn't have the mentality to dig in and compete at a good level, I was really dissapointed in the Choi fight, he's a talented kid.

I think he was joking. Bellew is mixed race.

Yes Bellew is mixed race, but most boxing fans are white in this country, fact. No joke, Bellew is breaking barriers down.

Won't he have to fight under a different name as there is already someone fighting as Martin Ward?
