I dont know if they would be considered one of the "Best"that never made it, but I would definitly consider Joe Miceli as one guy.

Miceli fought a who's who of welterwts-several champs in non-championship bouts and beating the likes of Aragon,Ike Williams,Saxton and Giardella to start with.

Yep,Charlie. He was also a "fighters fighter" I,d say.
I see he fought Gil Turner who was also that type.

the forgotten eddie booker why hes not in canastoga is a farce. only five losses in some 80 bouts and was never stopped, eye problems cut short his career. in one of his last bouts he stopped archie moore flooring him 5 times. i belive i read a quote by moore years ago that booker was the best fighter he ever met and that says alot when you look at moores record.
