His current sentence, by the way, was as the result of a plea deal so he could avoid getting into potential further trouble.

Community service seems more appropriate for these minor crimes.

As someone mentioned above, if any of us were in 23-hour seg and thought there was even a snifter of a chance we could get out of it and go home and watch neighbours, we'd be straight on the blower to ellerbe telling him to sort it out.

Yes, going on like his biographer by relating a couple of sentences that is public domain stuff - put in the public domain by the boxer himself, time after time after time.

However, I agree - I don't think he should be locked up for 23 hours a day on his own - that seems disproportionate. He should be in jail and not at home though.
