I though Rhodes had started getting the tactics right again in the 7th he was elusive and landling good hard pot shots, rabchenKO obviously has the power, chin and toughness i just wonder if he has the skills to become a genuine world level fighter. A couple of years ago Rhodes whould have taken him to school by the looks of it.

Rabchenko's chin seems ridculously good. Looking at Rhodes's shot on replay I'm amazed he took it. I'm certain it would've flattened most fighters; it was perfect

That really surprised me.
Makes me feel a little less stupid for also having Chenko a couple up.
Didnt think shouldve grabbed a beer. Was meant to meet up with moorsey straight after for 5mins but cos we had the women with us we did one when it kicked off.
Next time... If there is one for ry?

Tbh I watched that round again last night and you're right Rhodes was landing the better shots until he got caught.

it seems like twenty six was the only person on the planet who had rhodes ahead at the time of the stoppage then.
all that body sparring at wincobank and he gets done with one.
oh the irony.

Ryan has not trained at Wincobank for over 7 years.
What are your views on him finding out on twitter that his promoter was training his opponent?

You do know that 'body sparring at Wincobank' doesn't simply comprise of standing there and continuously whacking each other in the solar plexus, don't you?

i had ryan 4-2 up when the fight was stopped, i admit i am biased but thats how i was seeing it, rabchenko was missing a hell of a lot and ryan was hitting him with crisp counters early on, as the fight went on ryans work rate did drop a bit and rabchenko was coming on a bit stronger but i had ryan ahead when it got stopped, and it doesnt matter if you have done a million sit ups in training camp and body sparred your whole life, if you get hit with a good one on the right spot your fooked

Shitman - sorry "Hitman",
Yet again you demonstrate your propensity to act like a little schoolchild who gets bullied in the playground.
You are such an extraordinary keyboard warrior.
So here's an open invite.
Come up to Rotherham and watch Ryan train.
I stress - Rotherham, not Wincobank.
After that we can hang around and discuss your pugilistic views.
How old are you ? Reason I ask that is due to your over usage of little smilies. My children grew out of that when they were seven.
The views of a so called boxing expert who openly admits he never watches boxing live.

Some of the rounds were close, I can see a case for either man nicking them.
It was a great little fight mind.
I'd have fancied Ryan a couple of years ago in that one, he had the savvy to draw Rabchenko in, who was a little reckless.
But Rab's countering was almost snake-like, he was countering so quick at times and that threw Ryan's thoughts once or twice.
I hope Ryan continues. Rabchenko showed a few flaws, but he fought better than Alvarez for spells, but was slightly less in control than the Mexican.
I think I was half-expecting the visitor to unravel, but he showed good resolve against an unfamiliar style in Rhodes.
More please Mr Sky.

I had Rabchenko up 4-2.
Rhodes's work was cleaner and probably more accurate, so I can understand why people had him winning. The 6-1 card from the unnamed journalist was too wide though.

I thought Ryan was shading it but Rabchenko was coming on like a train; he won and won well. Ryan ought not to retire though; he showed he can still hack it at high level. I'm not sure Rabchenko has enough other than athletic ability and power to win a world title.

To be honest it didn't look like a massive shot or seem to land flush; it must have done to have got Ryan like that. It would not be in my top 10 body punch finish list though (were I to make one).

ive never seen anyone at title standard stopped by such an innocous looking shot...would mayweather, ali or hearns have been stopped with a glancing blow to the chest.....watching the replays i thought perhaps it was the head shot before that did the damage

It looked like it was a flicking shot, with no real power. Maybe he was exhausted when it landed, took the fight of him

John simpson got done by lee selby with a body shot that didn't look too much, and simpson like ryan has proved himself over the years to be as tough as they come, its not about how they look its how they feel and if ryan could of got up history tells us he would of

I don't think anyone is disputing that Curtis. Ryan certainly felt the effects of it; watching on telly it didn't look like a blow that would finish a bout. Rhodes got hit far harder by Alverez and I can remember Gary Lockett really digging in to him. Rabchenko must have deceptive power.

I think it was more about where the punch landed than how powerful Rabchenko is.
If a punch lands in the right area it need not land clean or be delievered by a hard puncher to inflict agony.
