Lots of the rounds were even and the problem with even rounds in a foreign country is that you don't win the rounds. It was a case of volume vs big punches. Well done Saf. Good work on the cut!. Only thing is what next after that? you cant go back to fighting the likes of Jamie Ball at English title eliminators.
Thanks Mcato, Nas said Della Rosa was the strongest man he has ever shared a ring including sparring with much bigger men, Nasser was controlling the fight with his speed, jab and skills in the early rounds, but once we heard the score after 4 and 6 rounds and they had Della Rosa in front, we had to change tactics and fight more, which brought Della Rosa closer, plus the head butts became a problem and the crowd played a part, but I still thought Nas won and landed plenty of quality shots, whilst blocking a lot of Della rosa's work, with the cut I pushed my luck a bit, staying in the ring as late as possible, but very proud of Nas, gave away weight, preparation time, experience and home soil. Next step ? Well the WBC are recommending Nasser for a world ranking after his performance and want to give him another title shot, over here we are looking at getting a title shot as well, so the experience has been worthwhile.

A fight between Notorious and the Eagle could be on the horizon, great fight that would be. The WBC want Nasser top go down to welter for a posible title shot there, so we will have to see what happens.

I think you should go down to welter Witter is there for the taking and lets face it a old Witter is easier than a young hungry strong Eagle

Witter hits harder then Ochieng and is more awkward, but Ochieng is younger and more skillful, but I would fancy Nas with anyone at british level at the moment, even more so after that last performance, three and a half weeks notice, coming back from a bad illness, fighting in Italy against current no 7 in the world, who's only defeat was against Zbik for the world title, by split decision, the fight has brought him on loads, his confidence is higher now he has done 12 hard rounds against a world level opperator.

The WBC emailed me yesterday saying it was an honour to support Nasser Al Harbi at the WBC International title fight and they are working on getting him a world ranking, after such a great performance, at the next WBC meeting, they are also looking to get him another major title shot , maybe at welter.
