There seems to be an unbelievable steroid culture in the North west and it seems it's either spilt over into rugby league or rugby league is a big contributor to it.
Rugby league has pretty much the most stringent testing of any sport. That's not to say their isn't a roid culture but the high numbers might simply imply that they ate actually catching more cheats.

Eastside boxing is awful these days. Seems to be frequented by too many idiots.
Yep, I haven't posted on there for years mate, but go on to read the occasional thread. Some good posters, but they're definitely in the minority.

I know several rugby league players, some personally and others to say 'hello' to, and can confirm that the testing regime they've got is absolutely superb.

There's literally no chance to take something and have it leave your system before you are liable to being tested again. Even when you're injured, the anti doping officers still come calling - in fact you're more likely to be tested 'at random' because they aren't daft enough to believe that people won't think about cheating whilst they're injured.

The difference with league compared to football is that the clubs regularly arrange to test players themselves (through a 3rd party of course), there's no having to notify the FA that they do it or shit like that.

The sport is very big about educating it's players, because they aren't rich enough to not have to work once they retire in their early 30's, the loss that you'd incur as a result of a ban is huge - you'd probably be sacked or at the very least be unpaid for the term of your ban, whereas a footballer could lose his career and still not have those same worries.

You do wonder with other sports such as football whether things get covered up, with clubs carrying out 'illegal' testing of players and if someone gets found with anything they'll 'be injured' for X amount of time so they can't be busted during post match tests, just hopin that nobody comes to the training ground.

In summary, I wouldn't say league players are more inclined to cheat, they're just more likely to get caught if they do - and instead of a pointless six month ban that many boxers receive (which is a typical break between fights for many) they will get two years, and find it hard to get back in afterwards.

Why do sportsmen/women use all these fancy expensive supplements? What happened to just eating healthy food and drinking healthy drinks?

Lets spend 50 quid on some protein shake rather than go and get an 8oz steak which is nicer and isn't going to contain a banned substance which can fornicate your career up?

Its a time thing aswell I think. Sometimes people are in a rush and dont have time to prepare a meal and thus a supplement is a good replacement so to speak.

Who is the David Barnes listed under "Other" on the site? Presumably (hopefully) not the boxer?

They have been coming over to boxrec forum, they don't take anything serious, just take the piss and are insulting, really they don't care about boxing at all, they most likely go on other sorts forums with the same crap.
