Cleverly is undefeated and sounds like a likely type. Credit to Green if he does take on Cleverly. He's taken some tough fights late in his career.

Cleverly's record does lack a big name opponent but i'd fancy him to be far too quick and fresh for Green at this stage. But if the cash is there Green should take it.

Early days. But Beibut Shumenov seems to be the name getting most mentioned. Including by Green himself.

Shumenov and Cleverly have both been mentioned, I think Shumenov has been feasting on oldies for a while, this should be the best of the oldies for him.

Campillo really should be the champion as well.

I was lucky enough to have a chat with Santiago after the bout. I mentioned Shumenov and he reckons Green should sign to fight him immediately. Whilst he said Shumenov was probably quicker, he stated Danny hits way too hard and would probably defeat him. Great, very respectful fella.

I thought Santiago was great. The atmosphere and occassion wasn't lost on him and I felt he got off the canvas three times for the fans, and not because he thought he was in with a shot of winning if he could survive the storm. The way he came out in the fifth full of energy and touching gloves with Green was evidence of this.

I hope Santiago hangs around in Australia a bit and enjoys himself here. Seems like a top bloke.
