Thanks, saved me some typing. the facts are that Dempsey got beaten by the only true great he fought. He held up the title for years doing nothing.

I wonder how rosy the, "facts," would be for Joe Frazier had he had approx. twice as many career bouts as he did, and didnt face a true great until his penultimate fight?

Tom Gibbons wasnt great, BTW?

Joe has a hell of a lot more amateur fights. And as a gold medal winner would have had money men backing him.

Only sayin'...cos I like both of them. Ali too.
