Kell brook changing Trainers and camp whispers from gym..??
Re: Kell brook changing Trainers and camp whispers from gym..??
Theres no need for Brook to change. He is the complete package. After that fight last night it shows himself what he needs to tweek...
Was really impressed with both of them. I have a soft spot for the under dog and must admit I was cheering Jones.

So after ONE, slightly suspect night in 28 - in which he still won at almost world level, he could do with a change? Come on, fella.Asterix wrote:Kell does seem like he could do with a change. Ingle was flustered in the corner and doing/saying silly things. Kell's stamina is obviously suspect at the moment.
Things to work on, for sure.

I mean he had the granny punched out of him for 5 rounds by someone that had 8 loses and had even been KOed by Alfonso Gomez
Jones wasn't KOed by Gomez. He was dominated. He was about to lose a decision. But, the stoppage was utter trash.
The Jones that Brook just fought is not the 20 year old kid that Gomez schooled. Jones is nails. He has come up the hard way, just flat-out never quitting and outlasting the competition.
Brook is weak to the body and lacks stamina but he has excellent skills and he had the heart tonight to not fold the tent when things looked bleak.
Both fighters deserve respect for their efforts tonight. It could have gone either way but I do feel that when it is that close the strongest fighter at the end should get the nod.
If this had been a 15 round fight, Jones would have finished him.
Just my 2 cents worth from across the pond.

Quite obviously a returning poster with an anti-Ingle agenda.kellbrook1_insider wrote:it did seem like they did not know what to say to him and seem organised in the corner kell brook can be a very talented fihter but i could see him improving massively with another team and away from all the hype and he could really transform but it depends if he really wants to see change in himself and does not have an attitude that he can not improve technically... carson was not technically that good and if kell wants to improve he really needs to relocate its hard when you have a family and a kid but sometimes its a matter of your career and one loss can change it all.. he can improve more then Amir khan he is more skilled but if not mark my words personally i think he will get exposed kell does not like taking shots or fighting on the back foot... i did think kell would totally beat khan but this performance has changed my mind and it would be a very close fight then expected... i as a kell brook fan really hope he does think of changing his camp i think it will do him wonders moving to the u.s or finding another renowned trainer...
Further...who DOES like taking shots? Philo Beddoe? And to say he doesn't like fighting on the back foot is ludicrous. Most of the rounds he won were on the back foot.

The Ingles credentials are impeccable, although Dominic and John haven't boxed to my knowledge their role in their dynasty is well deserved, developing fighters in their own right. From what i hear Dominic is clued up with the nutrition side of things and his fighters are usually well conditioned, tactically they seem to be right alot more than they are wrong. I think its the old line that if a few cracks appear or a fighter reaches his limit then blame the trainer. When a fighter changes camp and boxes better for his 1st few outings the trainer is hailed as a messiah when in fact the fighter has just become stale and needed a change this is not the case with Brook. It was just a hard fight/acid test that fighters need when approaching a title shot.Cant remember any1 calling for Eddie Shaws head after Laporte nearly seperated Barry from his senses in that 9th round? End of the day trainers are a valuble ingredient for any fighter but thats all they are cos after all the build up and hype and apart from 1 minute out of 4 your on your own and if you cant fight your fucked. Lay off the trainers. ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

Re: Kell brook changing Trainers and camp whispers from gym..??
Just seen an interview with Hearn and reading through the lines it looks like Kell is gonna start using the nutritionist at the GB set up to make sure the weight aint a problem in the future and kell his gonna take a final eliminator instead of going straight for the belt. Hearn is not a happy man by the sound of it.
Re: Kell brook changing Trainers and camp whispers from gym..??
No he will not.jake the snake wrote:Rob Mccracken will be Kells new trainer , its just about timing with the gb squad and commitments to Carl Froch wait for the announcement !
This thread is just your typical conspiracy theorists at work.
Speaking of Kell, if he thinks he has plateaued under his current set-up then I think he will address it. He wasn't shy about leaving Bunny for a relatively unknown promoter in Eddie.
Now he is on the cusp, with a baby to support, he will not be shy about making changes if he has to.
By return, he also needs to take ownership if he himself has been the weak link in camp.
But let's not forget about Jones, he is tough and resilient and re-informed my respect for him.
Personally he could do with a few meetings with Kerry Kayes, and not some run-of-the-mill protein powder manufacturer with sponsorship in mind. He's only over the hill from Brook's house and he galvanised the physiques of many a fighter in recent years.
(that's if he thinks it is indeed diet)
Re: Kell brook changing Trainers and camp whispers from gym..??
Brook is not ready for a World Title shot; Jones did very well to pull back and got right into it. He was utterly dismissed pre fight and has showed that being best in the UK and Europe is not good enough to best the top men. I think that every fight for Brook is now as hard as last night; Bailey would have knocked Kells' head off; Cotto, Mayweather or Manny; please; I think Khan would beat him easily.

The creator of this thread has been banned. He allegedly has very close links with Ali Shah (or is the man himself). Ignore the rumours because he clearly has bias against the Ingles.
He has had multiple accounts on this forum, including, AliAsghar, Blackburn1 and Fightnight.

If Kell Brook does make changes to his team will he be unbanned?

Good detective work
Re: Kell brook changing Trainers and camp whispers from gym..??
This thread is just typical of modern day thinking . If a sportsman / or sports team doesn't hammer the opposition ,then something must be wrong !! Either the manager , or the training/coaching is wrong ,or the wind was blowing in the wrong direction !!!
The fact is that this was a fantastic fight between two great boxers who gave it their all . Brook was knackered towards the end because he was being pushed to the limit ,as was Jones . This is how it should be if you pace a fight properly . Nothing should be left in the tank at the end .
Yes , the corner panicked a bit , but we don't know why . I feel Brook may have went into the fight with a cold or virus coming on ,and had a 'weak moment' which caused the chaos . He certainly looked a bit concerned even before the fight started .
As for changing trainers /gyms , people are always looking to cause bother , the message is - don't change a winning team.
At the moment Kell Brook is the best all round boxer in Britain . How did he get to this position ??
As for nutritionists - they are starting to believe in their own hype . Get a good steak down you , a glass of milk ,a bit of fruit and veg work hard and watch the weight come down gradually . Oh , and a wee glass of malt whisky before your bed gives you a great night's sleep !! And hire a qualified masseur ,particularly for the morning after the fight . You can't beat the old ways . All the rest are gimmicks and costing boxers a lot of money they don't need to spend .

If any criticism is valid from Kell's performance last night it's that his condition was not up to scratch.
He boxed beautifully for the first six and then floundered badly at times. Was that down to Jones or could Kell not keep it up.
Technically they were on a different level.
Kell's power.....he absolutely nailed Jones with his best punches and couldn't get him out.
Hatton, N'Dou, Jones. will he fare any better against Lopez, Berto, Bailey, Alexander, Bradley, Pacquaio?

Nope. Creating multiple accounts and ignoring warnings is a bannable offence in itselfFinal round wrote:The Law wrote:The creator of this thread has been banned. You're right, Manny Stewart did nowt for Lennox Lewis.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Bollocks....changing trainers rarely works IMO ask Ricky Hatton. The truth is that was his hardest fight and the reason he struggled towards the end of the fight was because of him not the trainer. He switched to Southpaw in round 8/9 and didnt look like he had a clue what he was doing. A real learning fight and one which will benefit Brook in the long run for sure.

You seem like a man in the know Mr Law. Why is the Haye-CHisora fight not on the schedule? The Law wrote:Nope. Re: Kell brook changing Trainers and camp whispers from gym..??
The reason is because Boxrec only list shows on the Boxrec 'schedule' which are sanctioned by the national governing body (i.e. the country where the fight is taking place).keithmoonhangover wrote:You seem like a man in the know Mr Law. We do list the 'results' of other shows (including unsanctioned shows), but they do not appear on our schedule. Therefore the result of Haye v Chisora should appear on Boxrec but it will not appear on our schedule.
We have always had this rule in place.
