Anyway Japan is a unique country in that they embrace foreign fighters like no other. Bob Sapp couldn't speak a word of Japanese and was far from the best in K1 and yet he was not only the most famous kickboxer, but the best-liked. His fight vs Korean Choi Hong-man was front-page news there. Even Butterbean and Peter f'n Okhello are stars there. I would say any boxer with a gimmick - especially heavyweights - would do very well there, financially, if his limitations prevent him from doing well in the States. Kimbo Slice, with his multiple disciplines, could easily do what Sapp did.

WHy ludicrous.....they were/are an economic powerhouse. They have an imperial past only England can better.......... they recovered tremendously from the deflation of the 90s and their economic powerhouse status is assured even as China rises.... there will not be a dramatic collapse in China... 100 years ago China was the worlds second greatest economic powerhouse...now it has risen again the last 12 or so years...
