I love your ideas but…life would be less without reading your posts…about Quick Tillis etc… It’s the same with many other people who post here.

So these forums are great. Okay, you get some cranky people, but mostly it’s good.

1. Nine weight classes to include cruisers, unless you reconfigure each weight class from Flyweight on up.
2. Only one real champ per division.
3. One international governing body (The IBU) for world title fights, its members elected from the ranks of promoters, managers and ex-fighters. Government appointed commissioners for regional titles.
4. Pensions for all pro fighters, but caps on purses to help pay the pensions.
5. All major fights shown on free TV except for the really huge cards that get shown on closed circuit in movie theatres.
6. At least one major monthly boxing publication in each country.
7. Schools established to train referees properly and only the best 30% get licensed.
8. Register all promoters. Government assistance to help them acquire funds for a card, but no actual financial aid.
9. Schools established to educate managers in finance and marketing, and rules laid out regarding fair treatment of their fighters.
10. One unbiased set of rankings for each weight class, released monthly, based on a points system to be established by the IBU which may include input by the International Boxing Writers Association.
11. A return to one commentator for televised fights.
12. Boxing gyms opened in every major city. Round up the hooligans and force them to learn to fight with their fists instead of with guns, otherwise ship them off to reform school where they can learn a trade.
