The move upto Welter will do him good (just as the move upto LWW did after Prescott - remember he's still only 24/25 and still getting stronger and growing).

I like Brook but his power is overrated imo, who has he really stopped convingly at a decent level??

As for boxing skills, Brook could be awkward for Khan but I see Khan being too quick too skillfull for Brook
How after seeing him sparked last night can u say Khan all day ?
That is a ridiculous statement .
It's not as ridiculous as saying "Brook all day"

Khan is a world class fighter who got sparked

Brook is an over-hyped fighter taking his time to get to that level

Khan beats him

Khan beats him

khan is proving to be the one who is over hyped. brook hasnt had a 100th of the media exposure khan has , and seems to be taking the right path to get there. dont forget khan was kod by limond, and then brutally kod by prescot. khan has only ever been about hype.

I'd still go for Khan though I think it would be an entertaining fight. Don't forget Brook hasn't been with anyone who throws punches as fast as Khan. Plus going off what Hearn said post Carson Jones fight can't see this happening for some time.

Khan is 25, has fought in 8 world title fights, won 6 of them, including unifying two world titles in the US. He also won an Olympic silver medal.
Brook is 26, has won a British title, has fought nobody of note and as an amateur won an NASBC title. Last week, on Ringside, Eddie Hearn (not giving any hype at all, of course) called him a future pound-for-pound fighter and said he will be one of the greatest British fighters of all time (move aside Ted 'Kid' et al)

You may believe that Brook will be Khan, fair enough, but to claim Khan "has only ever been about the hype" is ridiculous. Boxing, as anyone will tell you, is about levels and Brook has not boxed at Khan's level yet

People saying Jones is below par etc...how do you think it wold pan out if Khan ought him? Jones would be an absolute nightmare for Khan.

I think Brook beats Khan. There is more to come from Kell. We have not sen the best of him by a long way.

8 "world title fights" without fighting a real world champion. bobby vanzie held a world title, colin dunne, even audley harrison held some obscure title....there are hundreds of "world titles" about, and everybody on these boards should be well aware of exactly what a world title is. khan has never in his whole professional career fought anyone who is a world number one , so lets just put it all in perspective.tell me one guy that khan has fought who would beat bradley,or before that pac. the best two fighters khan has fought (and lost to) were peterson and garcia, who im sure would still be largely unknown in this country if they hadnt fought khan. its true khan won a silver at the olympics but amateur boxing is a completely diferent sport. khan has only ever been a contender at world level at lww, never the top man, and at 25 has just been splattered by an even younger and more inexperienced contender looking to do the same. khan has nowhere left to go, other than back down the ladder picking up scraps until his next beating.will he fight olasegun, mathysse, bradley? i very much doubt it...and if he does hes getting smashed.and if he moves up to welter where he will have to fight guys his own size he will be lucky to even pick up a paper title.if hes lucky , he will be able to cash out with a ko defeat to brook

Close call but Khan to pick his way to a fairly close points win IMO. Totally depends on what Khan turns up. If he has Any sense he would let his hand speed win the fight, keeping at distance with fast 1,2's then unloading in flurries and tieing up when in close enough. Kelly although tough and skilled has imo, only one way of fighting which is what we see everytime he's out. Good fight though and I really hope it comes off.

How deep do you want to dig yourself, comparing who Khan has faced to WBF and WBU titles??? Really pathetic.

So Maidana was some joke was he? Malignaggi, Judah both two-weight world champions, Judah was current when he faced Khan and Malignaggi has gone on to win another world title.

You are merely trying to justify your personal dislike of Khan with spurious misinformation.

And who will Brook, whose one fight outside Britain was a knockover job, fight? Mayweather? Pacquiao? Bradley? Alexander? Bailey? Mathysse? Olusegun? Maidana? Guerrero? Malignaggi? Garcia? Ortiz? Lopez? Oh no, it's Hector Saldivia, Boxrec's No 34 welterweight.

I think Khan stops Brook in the mid rounds, Kell suffered badly against a hand picked opponent in his last fight, the guy was picked to come forward for a couple of rounds and for kell to get a nice ko stoppage on his record, it did work out that way for the first 5 rounds but with kell being a non-puncher he punched himself out and the guy took him to bits in the rest of the fight.

Kell against a non-hand picked opponent gets stopped at this level.

i never described maidana as a joke. and judah(current) was ok ,and malignaggi is a decent enough fighter but to describe any as world champions in the true sense of the phrase is ridiculous. the very fact that malignaggi is now a world champion makes a farce of boxing today.mailgnaggi has a lot of very good fighters on his record but how many of them has he beaten. you can say khan is a world champ all you like but it just makes you a cheerleader forthe system that devalues and then eventually kills boxing.you would think that people who are on the site would know a bit about boxing, and how a lot of stuff is manipulated. judah was at his peak more than a decade ago, maidana a crude but effective world class brawler, and malignaggi better known for the beatings he has taken, rather than his wins. again, you can argue back and forth about the strengths and qualities of opponents all day,but we all know khan hasnt fought and beat a single A class fighter( anywhere near their prime)
brook has still to do it, but hes not been kod by a domestic fighter, and he came through an opponent every bit as good as maidana in jones. still undefeated ,and still learning . still no fanfare. grounded guy and doesnt spout shite . khan in his fake march to the top has blamed umpteen trainers, promoters, judges, states, men in hats, the british public, and all those i dont have time to mention...for his failures, his arrogance , and refusal to understand that some fighters actually hit back now and again.
