Surely fat burners are not allowed and surely Enzo was aware of this, so the "I accidentally took it in a nasal congestant" excuse doesn't seem applicable.

This interests me, Dunstan had taken Nazel spray in the Dressing room before He Boxed. He had come down with a heavy cold, think He got it of me, the cold that is. Id been in my Bed after getting there. In the Dressing room, when I saw what He was taking I went ballistic. As He said at the time, I cant Breath, if I cant have it, I cant Box.They found traces after the Fight, and He got 2 year Ban. No arguments from me, He in the eyes of the Board had Cheated. So why does Enzo only get 6 months.

Reading that report, the doping agency only seem to care about 'performance enhancement'. Surely, they should be looking at why a cruiserweight trying to make light-heavy might be looking to use this?

Thing is agree on yr points i think all drug cheats just get banned for life it would soon make only the most stupid or imbalanced be prepared to risk it. But where someone has done it too such an extent there should be a bigger fine

For example Larry and Enzo both banned same amount of time but larry gets a twenty grand fine enzo a 3 grand fine.

But i do think that if theres a time limit that varies then there should be variables on punishments if you have got a level of steroid in yr system that shows yr a hardcore user for a long time of the strongest drug you will get more of a ban than someone with a trace amount of some of the less powerful drugs.

Has anyone got an explanation for why he got given 6months? Do the BBBoC have certain guidlines for how long a positive drug test should get or do they take each case on its own merits? 6months just seems abit light.

out of curiosity , when exactly is defined as 'out of competition'

is there a minimum number of days between being allowed to take something thats considered 'out of competition' and actually competing ?

I dont think so mate, i think its purely to help you burn fat but its still a prohibited substance as its stimulant which can give you an edge as its causes your heart rate to increase and thus you have heightened awareness which would help you in a boxing match with being more alert to punches coming your way, etc.

It seems a tad ironic that he took what he thought was a fat burner for a fight at Cruiserweight.... and the stimulating effect didn't help him in the opening 3 rounds.

The BBBC have no guidelines the British drug testing people do the bans nothing to do with the board the length of the bans.

Essentially, the thing he took, is a legal supplement that can be used "out of competition" as a fat burner, but not in competition as it is a stimulant.

So, if he had it had been detected in a random out of competition test, he would of passed, but it turned up in an incompetition test. However, they accepted due to levels recored that he had stopped taking it a few days before the fight, so had no intended to take it as a stimulant.

Thats confusing, not your explanation but the BBBoC's policy.

Enzo had taken a stimulant that is legal out of competition, but not in a competition test. However, level were so low that it was apparent he hadn't taken it a few days before the fight and by the sounds of it, the stimulating effect would have not been any different come the fight.... you can even say he last took it out of competition.

Very hard to label him a drug cheat if true.
