I give Fury more credit than what you guys are, I think he could go the distance with Haye; he certainly is more mobile and more skilled and a harder puncher than Valuev ever dreamed of being, and he decisioned Chisora, beat McDermott twice, stopped Maddalone; arguably those guys were better opponents than anyone Valuev ever fought, and Haye went the full route with Valuev and it wasnt even a wide decision, Haye danced around and did very little. Hell Holyfield looked better against Valuev than did Haye. Give Fury some credit!

You have to pick Haye to take this but i think Fury might surprise you all. I agee people are being hard on him he is young improving and showing alot of potential. I hope he knocks Haye out and will have money on him doing so.

Fury hits harder than Valuev? Interesting! It's highly unlikely too. He struggled like mad with McDermott, lost the first fight clearly and the second was tight until the stoppage. Valuev fought Haye, so there is a much better opponent than anyone Fury has ever beat.

Just because Fury is mobile for a man of his height it doesn't mean he is all that mobile. It's relatively speaking. Again, he is easy to hit, very easy for someone as quick as Haye. He wouldn't last long shipping big straight rights from the Hayemaker. His style is made for Haye.

This a supposed to be a serious boxing forum and you've got people saying Fury could beat Haye, probably the same people that thought Chisora would beat Haye. Some people get sucked into the hype too easily.

Got the decision over McDermott twice. Fury clearly lost the first fight.

There is only one fight Haye wants and it isnt with Fury. I like to see competative fights and Haye/Fury wouldnt be.

Haha Fury will be KO'd soon as he steps up his opponents. To think he'd stand a chance against Haye really is clueless. Fury Vs Audley Harrison would be a 50/50 fight in my book, maybe 55% to Fury but still, that is the level that Tyson is at. Next thing he'll be saying he has a chance against Wlad...

I'm with Yiddo. Haye's straight right will kill Fury... early.

I struggle to see ANY argument for Fury winning this.

Totally agree, one of my favorite posters on boxrec is horse, but I still scratch my head some times on what he sees in fury, I like watching fury and I think his a gentleman and good for the sport, but fury v k2 or haye is nothing but a public execution.

Tyson Fury in 18mths could beat Haye , no doubt , jst needs a couple big wins in that time , belive people!

Fury is at least a couple of years away from David Haye's level.

The gulf in class would be too much & as tough & willing as Fury is, I couldn't see him making the final bell TBH.

Haye won't be fighting in 18 months, that's my point.

Haye in his prime would beat prime versions of both Fury and Price. He is simply a more talented fighter than both, considerably when we talk about natural talent, and both are made to measure for him. Especially Fury.

Agreed, so it is mostly irrelevant as Haye will retire by then

However, in 2 years time Tyson Fury will still only be 25 years old and Haye will be nearly 34 years old.

Fury would have a lot more experience and muscle/power by then and Haye's devestating and explosive speed will most likely have began to slow down noticebably.

So certainly Fury would have a substantially better chance than he does now, coupled with his natural physical advantages over Haye.

BUT Haye is smart enough regarding his body's abilities, savvy enough regarding his legacy & wealthy enough that he will retire before Fury will be in a position to beat him

All elite boxers reach a stage where age means the quite good boxers become better than them - I just don't think Haye will allow any of us to witness this.

Firstly, this fight won't happen. For several reasons. Don't believe it just because it's on Talksport. I wouldn't trust the DJs that radio station to tell me the time and date accurately, let alone anything else.

Secondly, should the impossible happen and it did occur, it wouldn't go to points. Haye would crucify Fury. I'd be surprised if you saw the end of the third.

Haye would destroy Fury and I'd be more than happy to watch it. What's in this fight for Haye though? Nothing as far as I can see. I;d be very surprised if this happened.

I think Haye could be easily coaxed out, if Fury has a win over a good fighter such as a Price , and calls out David Haye publicly , Davids big ego and the fact it would most likely be the biggest British fight of all time would be to much for him to resist , hes only in his early 30s and keeps himself in great shape, he dont rate Fury and would love 2 KO him . I have'nt forgotten how he look so scared of Wlad

The young unbeaten up and comer vs proven world champ , both have a massive following in the mainstream as well as in boxing circles and both know how to hype it up , Make no mistake this would be the biggest payday for both Haye and Fury and even the casual sports fan would buy this PPV , dont write this off ever happening.

Biggest payday for Haye? I doubt that very much. Didn't he pick up eight figures for the Wlad fight?
