Have not seen the fight since it happened and don't any desire to. As I recall Soto held a lot, but it wasn't at the Ruiz level; I am sure I would remember that. Regardless, you can't bodyslam your opponent. This isn't pro wrestling; Soto didn't know he was going to bodyslammed. If he fell wrong he could have had a serious injury. That should have been an instant disqualification. Always amazes me that no one seems to remember this.

Hamed himself was on the receiving end of a pro wrestling move when Barrera gave him the old face-to-the-turnbuckle smash.

This is small stuff compared to all the howlers other posters have seen, but it was kinda jaw-dropping at the time: In the army; inter-unit championships, amateur rules. Fighter A taking an absolute pounding from Fighter B. He hits the deck for a second time, gazes out blearily through the ropes, and says, "Oh, f*ck it!". Takes the mandatory 8, then walks up & kicks Fighter B in the cods; F-B hits the deck in agony, and F-A kicks him in the head. Instant disqualification, of course, but F-A then slugs the ref (who is a senior NCO); is restrained by his cornermen, hustled outta the ring and straight into the guardroom. Charged in the morning (the CO had watched the whole show the night before) and given 28 days detention. Don't think he stayed in the army very long after that.

two middleweights [sorry i forget their names one of them hurt his back so bad in a clinch that he had to be taken out on a stretcher. the weird part is as he is being carried out the judges say he won

Allen Smith Vs Gary Bell in 2003, Bell landed body shots that hurt Smith but Allen claimed they were low blows and was given around eight minutes to recover after twice faking the "low Punches" even happened. replays showed he was hit with legal body punches and the commentators even said "why is he getting a time out for a body blow this is ridicules". yet the ref said nothing when Gary bell got headbutted several times all in round 1 eventually it was ruled a no contest

huck hit the italian behind the head or on the break or something, and that pissed off the italian, who hit him back
that pissed off huck, and they started hitting each other as the ref tried to get between them (he'd called stop)
then huck kicks the italian. the italian then walks out of the ring, and as a result huck wins by dq

I watched a bunch of Huck's fights, but don't remember this one. Sounds like a mess. it was early in his career vs pietro aurino ......looking again it actually was ruled tko
i cant find footage now, but it used to be online. it was all pretty weird but i recall thinking that huck throwing a kick was by far the worst thing that happened, it was a hard kick and he used to be a kickboxer. i think aurino then was pissed that the ref didnt do anything about that

Two heavyweights were in the ring ready to go. One of them then just got out of the ring and walked away. It was some dispute, contractual or pay-related, something like that.

Yeah that wasn't that long ago. In Minneapolis. It was Curtis Harper before facing Efe Ajagba. Bizarre.
Broner humping Maidana was also outrageous. He paid for it though.

Andre Dirrell's uncle sucker punching Jose Uzcategui because he nailed Dirrell a split second after the bell rang was 'outrageous'. It was also cheap, weasel-like and very very stupid. They probably aren't nice people but I admit I've always kind of liked the Dirrells. In a bad underdog kind of way. There's probably a reason the Dirrells often find themselves in outrageous situations, outrage or just rage seems to follow them around..
Dirrell's winning by DQ over Arthur Abraham was outrageous or an outrage. A lot of people frame it as Andre being in a hopeless situation, pretending to be hurt. I thought he was winning the fight and had taken the best Arthur could throw at him. He had probably been concussed, you hate to see a fight win like that but you can't let a fighter continue in that situation. Whether he was faking or not..
Speaking of Arthur Abraham his Smurf costume for the ring walk was outrageous. Here's a picture of him in case you missed it.

I remember that fight. Aurino was also pissed because he's been docked two points for headbutts but the ref was letting Huck pretty much do what he wanted. Ive posted here somewhere before ,I can't remember the opponent but Frank Lilies was the walkout bout and he and the opponent began fouling and one was laying on the floor kicking and got disqualified at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

I just had a look at the Huck v Aurino fight. The german referee was not the most neutral referee I have ever seen.
The verdict was announced as a disqualification by Michal Buffer quoting a certain European rule.
Maybe the verdict was later changed to a stoppage win for Huck, so it looked better on his record.

Talking about biased corrupt refereeing in Germany. Anyone remember Hernandez being dragged out of a knockdown by the ref?
