Weren't having a go naj just sayin not fighting him an risking him pulling out again... Plus the guy is wbc no7 not world no7 big difference, I am wbo no6 but I am not stupid to think I am world no6. An I heard nas done great out in italy. Fair play but when people look at his record its still a loss when he gets called out it won't be undefeated but none the less he did good in italy an good luck on the 8th

Agree, but it as been a long time since he showed that kind of form, his british title win was more of a case of him being the less declining fighter of the two, he has a puncher's chance and is awkward to box, but his style based on reflexes is not suited to an older man, maybe he should have adapted his style to conserve on the age process, a few years ago, like Ryan Rhodes did, I don't think many will think he can outbox or out speed Gavin.

If Hennessy won the purse bids I think FW would happily let Gavin continue with it to get exposure of Channel 5 and if he won and won well it's an advertisement for BN - want to see more of Gavin? Then subscribe!

I know you you weren't having a go Frankie. Nasser has only pulled out of 2 fights in his career, with the one against you, his glands swelled up, he was in a lot of pain, but carried on training through the pain and was still willing to fight with the discomfort, but when the virus hit it was too much with 2 weeks to go, I myself contacted Dean Powell to ask for the fight to be put back a few more weeks, but with Tv and a date set the request could not be met, 4 weeks before the Jamie Ball fight Nasser twisted his knee and it swelled up, when sparring Tommy Ghent at Priory, He could only do swimming and jogging up stairs and was only able to spar a week before the fight but he still fought, but you have to evaluate the level of your opponent with injuries or sickness. Nasser has a no 41 world ranking with the WBC and 7 in Asia again with the WBC, he is on the verge of big fights. I hope you win the British title against Witter, Boxing needs younger fresher champions with a progression, not old fighters who are the verge of retiring and Birmingham needs big fights.

I have watched the fight mate, but you can't say that is the same Witter who knocked out Vivian Harris or who lost a close decision to Bradley, he is good for his age, but not the same, by the way I was a big fan when he was younger and like everyone else wanted to see the Witter/ Hatton fight, which would have been great for boxing, with both of them world champions at the time.

Witter is a class fighter, but is certainly on the decline. Unlike his peers, he is not minted by any stretch and needs to fight on for money, not glory. Losses in good company aren't a bad thing (Bradley & Alexander) but he lost handily to Lupo and El Maachi. And neither are going to be WBC world champions are they?

Lynes, McIntyre and Graham were all points wins - so I'm not sure he is hitting like he used too either.

Still, you never can predict how good Witter will be on the night.

Witter trains pretty much all the time and keeps himsef in good nick, he's got good sparring all the time; he may have the edge in preparation terms; he's a dangerous man to overlook or dismiss out of hand. I think he'll do pretty well early doors and fade with some good body work by Gavin.

If he beats gavin, lets have witter hatton, because we all know junior wouldve beat him and ricky ducked him etc...etc..

If he beats Gavin lets give him some respect for the victory; Frankie is a good man; when Witter's beaten a good man in the past he hasn't had much of a break.

He only fought4 times in 3 years between lynes and bradley

Oh I know; I'm not going to defend all that's gone on in his career or excuse his losses; in his day he was an excellent runner/tip tap boxer and then worked himself to being a very dangerous hitter; excellent at European level; he weren't ever top, top World class but the man was a very good boxer and though he is in decline he is a handful. I think it may be a good match and if Frankie has his head in the clouds pre or in the bout (we've seen that before) he'll get beat; if he's on his game he ought to win; hopefully in a bout that both gain respect from.

One minute when Frankie was with you, he was the greatest thing since slice bread, now he is no longer with you, you are confident Ronnie Heffron will beat him, how fickle ! Ronnie has a tough ask against David Barnes first, before you start calling out other fighters, If Barnes is on form and mentally right he could school Ronnie Heffron, he is much more experienced and fought at a much higher level, from talking to him he is well up for it and can't wait for the fight, my advice to you would be don't count your chickens before they have hatched.

Frankie would be a class 10st fighter. You just think of your sons career

You think about my son more then most, are you sure it's not you who wants the fight with Frankie, rather then Ronnie and what happened to the Heffron/Smith fight ? 2 big unbeaten welters, both young, with fighting families, the Smiths seem to still want it ? why would Frankie want to fight Ronnie next, when he is already in line for a british title shot ? Surely it would be better to wait until after your fight and if successful try and get the winner of Witter/Gavin, then it would be for the british title and more money.

Anyway heffron isn't ready and never will be ready for Frankie Gavin !
Don't ruin Ronnies career before it gets started !
