who cares if he learnt it all in canada he representing us when he didn't have to

Don't forget HH, a young Liston, on his way up, was a truly ferocious fighter. He would've matched Mike in the agression stakes no problems.
Liston was matched tough all the way. He wasn't a fighter many people wanted to see make it.
They threw him in with Cleveland Big Cat Williams, one of the hardest punching heavyweights of his era.
Williams hit Liston with everything, but his hardest punches just bounced off Sonny, who knocked him out in three. Then repeated the dose a year later.
I don't think Tyson could've lived with a guy as tough as Liston.

Probably my favorite heavy, along with Larry Holmes and Ali of course.
