I am hoping Gary Shaw brings him over here. The 02 in London would be a sell out against Macklin or Murray. Lets face it Geale isnt afraid to travel and fight in his opponents back yard. Not too many fancy fighting in Germany, but he did.

A fight against the winner of Martinez/Chavez may be a bigger money fight.

It most definately would be, no doubt about that. Not sure though if he can take route and retain the WBA title.

A professional boxer has a limited time to make his fortune. You can't eat belts.

I thought that Sturm beat Murray, so I don't think that he was lucky to get a draw in that fight; he was lucky to get the win over Macklin though.

I also thought Sturm-Geale was very close and could've gone either way, so I wouldn't have been upset if the verdict had favored Sturm. That's what I expected given the bout's location.

Not many visiting fighters win a world title in Germany. Looks likes Geale could be one of the first to have won 2.

What a great fight. Credit to both guys firstly for taking such a bout, and then to perform the way they did.
I had Geale winning 115-113. That said many rounds were close and could have gone either way.
Whilst the reaction in the crowd seemed hostile for a short time (after the score cards) I think they all knew, including Felix, who won the bout. I know there have been so many great boxing performances by Aussies but this would have to rank as No.1 or very very close IMO. Well done Daniel, makes me proud to be an Aussie and a follower of the sport. I dont mind getting up at 2.30am to watch guy fight.

Well i ended put $10 bucks on Geale to win @ 2.20 so i won $20 odd bucks for my first gamble. :yay:

Anyone think Geale will drop the WBA title?

Great fight between 2 evenly matched fighters , well done to Geale, opens the door for some massive fights.
Golovkin , winner Chavez-martinez ,Murray, or my favourite a rematch with Mundine Jan26 Australia Day if Mundine got the balls for it that is!!!

Mundine is the easiest fight for Gealey, but choc doesnt deserve it.
No doubt Geale will take on another top notch fighter, where ever he has to be it germany, US or back home.
As much as I want to see Sam Soliman get a shot, I am not sure ho entertaining that fight will be due to styles.
I dont know enough about Golovkin but there is alot of hype around him. I think Geale has a great shot at Chavez, Martinez or Macklin.

I agree. Geale has the balls to travel to fight champions at their door step whereas Mundane won't even fight half decent opponents at home. They shouldn't give the opportunity.

So Geale must defend his title by late Dec against Golovkin, Where does that leave Soliman?.

Shane Cameron fighting in December??

Geale must fight Soliman by dec 7 4 IBF title although he can get a date extension , so he either fights sam or losses title, same goes for Golovkin although i think Golovkin will fight winner of Chavez-Martinez . i know i said i would like to c a mundine rematch which i belive would b a much much bigger pay day easier fight than Soliman like it or not Soliman is next

This win was massive for Aussie boxing. Good on him, he'll clearly fight anyone anywhere.
