What is Spencer Fearon doing with DeGale anyway? Is he now promoting Chunky in some way? That's a match truly made in heaven if so!

Telling him to retire hopefully.

degale may behave like an arsehole, but he got where he is under his own steam. just my opinion ,but i think hes a thousand times more affable than eubank jr, who , lets face it, under all the pose , is just a poor little rich kid who lacks his fathers talent, charisma, and comic genius.
obviously , if it was a real fight degale would put his feet so far up jrs arse you'd think doc martens were making hats.

Is Degale really such a twat? I read loads of posts on forums where people who've actually met him say he's a really nice guy, nothing like he appears on telly.

Much though I hate DeGale, I feel his all round twattishness is a bit of a put-on. In the post-fight interview after his debut, they quizzed him about being booed and he looked really upset and hurt by it. He comes across as quite sensitive.

But at the same time, why feel the need to act such an arse in front of the camera? Surely it's just as annoying if he's a nice guy who acts like the biggest arse in the world in front of cameras?

I don't mind DeGale, outside of the the Grove build up he seems alright. People I know who have met him have said he's a nice guy in person.

My general theory on this is that if somebody spends 95% of their time acting like a cock, chances are they are not an actor, but a cock.

Not a very bright cock either.

I'm not defending DeGale. In fact, I can't think of a boxer I have ever disliked as intensely as I dislike him. I was just responding to people's comments that he's a lot nicer off camera than on.

One has an Olympic Gold Medal, a British title and a European title defended successfully away from home.

The other whilst clearly a decent prospect is essentially riding his fathers coat tails.

Can I suggest politely that JNR winds his fornicating head in

My point was a general one and not aimed at Degale, however the way he acted around Groves was an embarrassment.

Can't recall who it was against but he was given a very tough time by the last or last but one guy he fought on channel 5 and his debut wasn't that impressive either. He must have caught the guy he boxed that day with about 30 big shots and never did much damage.

Agree on DeGale. He needs to develop his career his own way and stop worrying about Groves.
Are you not thinking when he hurt his hand in maybe the second? Essentaill he fought the fight with one hand then.

Agree though, doesnt seem to have the hardest punch though they do seem quite 'snappy'.
