If Audley got hold of Herbie it would be murder. Herbie is fast and hits hard all you need you would think. Nope no head movement against Harrison means bad things Auds combinaation punching would put Herbie into orbit.

People who claim Lewis had no chin are obviously forgetting about Lewis' fight with Klitschko. He took plenty of punishment in that one.

But then people will say he is not a great because he was losing on points in this fight before he won.

Diego Corrales. He's got great powers of recovery, as he's up quick after being knocked down, but it doesn't take a particularly hard dig to put him down.

McCafferty has to be mentioned. He is rubbish and nearly always loses but he always loses on points Hide TKOd him but I cant think of any and Reid, Potter and Kandelaki(in his 20th fight!!!!) did as well. But this guy never turns down a fight and always extends his opponents some rounds.

I hear $ief has got a bit of a suspect chin? had one or two standing counts in the amatures!!!

Surely McCafferty has a pretty strong chin, so should be mentioned on a strong chin thread.

I agree, McCafferty has not got a weak chin just because he loses a lot of fights he hardly gets stopped. Carl Thompson has a bad chin but plenty of heart, Macarinelli has a poor chin, Wayne Alexander has a crap chin which gets more worn with each fight but as for Lennox Lewis i would not say he has a bad chin just because he got caught with two great shots and got stopped they were by heavy hitters after all and we are maybe too quick to judge him on those TWO PUNCHES in his whole career of 40 or whatever fights. He stood up to big shots from Klitschko and was hurt against Shannon Briggs albeit briefly but came through so i think hs inclusion is harsh.

yeah iget right annoyed when people say Lennox has a bad chin he took some peaches of punches without flinching so to say he had a bad chin is laughable.

I'm not saying he's got a really bad chin, but Michael Brodie does seem a bit more fragile around the whiskers nowadays.
Also Idon't think its fair to call David Haye chinny just yet. The knockdown vs Lolenga Mock was caused by a punch to the temple, so I don't think we can reaaly gauge his punch resistence just yet.

Agreed with Brodie, he seems to get more vulnerable each time out.

Always made me chuckle with Lewis, when he got chinned my huge punchers basically taking run-ups they say he is chinny. When he takes big shots from the likes of Mercer and Klitschko they say he struggled. He even took a couple of shots from Tyson (who most Lewis detractors insist is still a murderous puncher) and Tua.

I concede that because of the knockout defeats he does not deserve to be rated exceptionally highly in the chin department but labelling a man who became the dominant Heavyweight of his era as 'chinny' is just plain stupid and it's not often I'll say that about someone elses opinion. In fact those 2 fights aside Lewis has never been knocked down.

The "Slip" in the Bowe fight occured when Bowes BICEP hit Herbie, and it was a legitimate KD. And he was down for 14 seconds, struggling to get up. If Steele called it right, that would have been the funniest KO ever.

Actually good point concerning Holmes, although I feel Louis' whiskers was a little too suspect to say he was the most complete heavyweight of all time.

I mentioned McCafferty just because I thought it was funny somebody mentioning a guy with a good chin in a thread about people with bad jaws.
