So as far as Mike goes, just help him out with information and that will make the rankings better. I guarantee you there is NO ONE on the planet who is willing, able or has proven they can do better. So, let's keep it going and help him out by offering info to make it that much more accurate.

Re: Schoolboy Rankings Usa/ Canada
I have a funny but inspirational story to tell about the rankings later ,right now we at the weighins. It's amazing to see how these young Stars interact amoung themselves a couple of em got lil egos already lol
Re: Schoolboy Rankings Usa/ Canada
Ok for those who say the rankings don't help the kids here is what happend 2 days ago. A big sad nervous looking kid came up to us trying to inquire who we were n if My kid was in fact The Mahmutovic kid folks was so concerned about . We found out this kid was in different weight class. I asked him his name n he said Malik , I said did you know that you are ranked #8 in World Rankings ? He couldn't believe it I had too actually pull out my phone n show it too him. He was totally shocked when I showed him it was actually # 8 n the whole world not # 8 in Usa. I told him he was the man to be ranked so high on planet earth. You folks shouldve seen the Smile n look of amazement on his face . He walked away shoulders high n with a big bright smile on his face. Malik went on to Ko his opponent n his next bout, I was working the corner of my kid in the ring next to him at same time , I looked over my shoulder n he had the biggest smileon his face as they announced his victory n I gave him thumbs up. This kid is full of confidence now
Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
That Kid Malik Titus who didn't even know he was ranked was upset in finals At National Silver Gloves. A few big names in the Juniors did not get the chance to repeat as National Silvers because they had to choose between Doing thier Regional Silver Gloves or The Junior World Tournament, my heart goes out to.those unfortunate young men.i wonder if not Being in National Silvers will have a bearing on.their.rankings?
Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
All the #1 junior boys on Team Usa getting ready to go to camp April 21 - May 16 plus the will be going to Europe to fight in Ukraine and some other country I cant pronounce Lol. This the second camp for Team and they now have the Great Cuban Coach Senor Pedro . Team Usa is really trying to get back to Glory days. Some exceptional talented kids on this team gonna be interesting see how they do on 1 st international fights. Sucks they have to miss 3 weeks of school though
Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
Do you know if the US will be attending the America's Junior Championships scheduled for late may. There are some useful Cubans,Dominicans and Puerto Rico boxers out there.
Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
Don't this so Team will just be getting back from Europe on May 16. I think the European trip will provide the better competition
Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
If you are going to the Aliyev cup in Baku be wary of hometown decisions.
Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
They are going to some event in Ukraine , gonna be tough because Ukraine got some darn good boxers. Team Usa is having a camp for 10 days before departing to Ukraine. I know of at least one kid who will enter the camp in tip top shape eagerly awaiting competition in The Ukraine. Baku is in Russia right?
Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
Baku is in Azerbaijan which was once part of the Soviet Union. It is a mostly muslim country that is on the southern border of Russia and northern border of Iran who they do not like and also borders on Aremenia who they have had wars with. They are very friendly people and like USA as we were one of the 1st countries to reconize them when they broke from the USSR. I have been to the Aliyevcup and the US got fair decisions when I was there.scallum wrote:They are going to some event in Ukraine , gonna be tough because Ukraine got some darn good boxers. Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
I was there in '06. Keith Tapia and Joey Dawejko were on the team and I think Tapia was named the outstanding boxer. I sort of remember that there were two Russian teams but I don't think they were the number one boxers. There were teams mostly from eastern europe and some like Ireland from western europe. It was a good competition for the US team.scallum wrote:How was the Comp there?JMac wrote:Baku is in Azerbaijan which was once part of the Soviet Union. Re: Junior Boys Rankings Usa/ Canada
I wonder why those kids got no YouTube videos on them? I was misinformed thought this was in Ukraine. I think Team Usa gonna have good chances with Jordan White I think he at 106 and the kids at 165, 176 and 176 + could do ok. Im thinking one of these kids from Team Usa may be looking to do something extraordinary, I hope so
Re: Schoolboy Rankings Usa/ Canada
Was in the gym today and a bunch of kids from different parts of Cali Came to workout , Sum current and former #1 kids were in gym working out. The most impressive kid I saw was a kid who was strong ,fast , Aggresive, throwing body punches like Chavez ,and could dance around the ring like Ali. I saw this kid landing lead uppercuts ,so go ask his trainer what is this dynamic talents name, he is Indeed Mark Castro. I was throughly impressedboxingcoach80 wrote:he needs to do more research he has guys at the wrong weights and has guys on there that get beat all the time how you get ranked top 10 when u get spanked locally every other week.....Sgsinn i am happy atleast someone is trying tovrank the kids but as of know its way off marc castro from fresno won every tournament this year and hes not on there...
