I'm a Mitchell fan but I'm not an idot !
Mitchell got caught by a good shot and didn't know what to do after, Billy gave good banter on here and sometimes got as good as he gave !
You are if you think it was just one lucky punch. Mitchell is a good classy exciting fighter but he isnt world class.

Well done Ricky! What an excellent performance, hopefully Ricky will now get the appreciation he deserves. He's looking like an animal at lightweight! Just hope Frank can pull his finger out and get a unification fight next. Also, good on Mitchell to take the defeat so graciously, top lad.

Tremendous performance from Burns and his team.

People are saying Mitchell just wasn't any good - the reality is Burns made him look poor in there last night, because from Mitchell's appearance he'd definitely trained hard.

I thought their Katsidis results would be a red herring on last nights prediction - but sadly for Kev they weren't.

Both were also a credit to themselves before and after the bout too.

If anyone should pummel Harrison it should be Kev.

well done burns....his professionalism made it look easy. mitchell could well have been in rickys position had he been a diligent and focused trainer down through the years. thats the difference at top level, and no matter how well mitchell trained in the past 12 weeks , its the lack of a previous six years of sacrifice and dedication that left him wanting at this level.

I have to say as much as I love Kevin, 3 or 4 fights in four years isn't good. Different if you're a superstar like Mike Tyson or Mayweather where a fight takes 6 months to make. Domestic level fighters in the UK are not out enough IMO. Although Carl Hampton seems to be fighting on a regular basis.

Thanks boxrob, yes it was a great shot and rickys right probably got him thinking, Im still unsure how good Ricky can be, but I will be behind him all the way, and I know Mitchell is better than that, he needs more fights regularly and a cleaner life !

Mitchell was gracious last time he lost. Then a few months later the excuses came tumbling out.

Hopefully they don't follow that route again, and I doubt they will.

He has a future of course, just not at that sort of level. Both times he has stepped up he has been outclassed.

Good luck to Kevin too. I'm sure he will go on to have a very, very good career.

Not a fan of burns despite backing him for a stoppage win. I do see him as that upright runner with little power.billy nelson has transformed this fighter.

Always been a Burns fan been even I didn't see that coming. Saw him box Osumanu Akaba at the York Hall and got him to sign the program because I figured it would be worth more once he hit the bright lights :DDD

Burns has to be one of the nicest guys in British boxing. Just gets on with his stuff, no frills, no arrogance, just a renewed confidence in his abilities.

Fair play to him. I really hope he makes some big money fights over the next couple of years.

Would also like to add my congratulations to Mr Nelson.

I too, wrote Burns off, way before the Martinez win. Billy has worked wonders with the kid and I found myself rooting for the Scot at the weekend.

Well done Team Burns.
