x2 hindsight is a wonderful thing, Burns a hard hitter with a left hook? He's proved it now.

Its not the point that people were not predicting it, the point is it was not a 'massive shock'. I was sick of reading articles in the lead up to the fight that Mitchell's the better boxer, the harder puncher etc. No offence meant to the lad, he's a good fighter, but he has been over hyped and over rated these last few years.

I was leaning towards Burns winning by KO in the middle to late rounds, but to be fair i would'nt have bet on it. I was very confident of Burns winning though. Its not revisionism at all, my point is it was not a massive shock. If it was to you then you overated Mitchell.

I'd backed Burns on points as I'd imagined thousands would have as everyone felt he wasn't a puncher, he did a job on Mitchell though to be fair.

As for saying Mitchell was over hyped not having it, I actually think he is a very skilled fighter but he just got swarmed by a much fitter and aggressive fighter, he was also a lot bigger.

I'm hoping for a top class fighter next for burns no more fighters in their decline or with a point to prove, let him earn some serious money against the top of his class.

That's Burns pink and a picture/emoticon is worth a thousand words, whether they are worth saying is another matter!

I think Burns TKOing Mitchell in 4 rounds was a unpredicted/massive shock you don't but you weren't prepared to bet on that outcome which suggests it was at least a more unlikely outcome to you than a points loss. I can accept that.

Was Kevin Mitchell not the WBO no1 contender??

Are the WBO trying to force Ricky into the Broner fight???, Broner will probably fight DeMarco next so why make this daft statement about having to face the mandatory contender???. Take a guess who the 2 is??

Its Kevin Mitchell....so are the WBO gonna force Burns to face Miotchell again lol

very strange
maybe a bit of [snipped] going on here :!:

a boxer cant be overated they just climb the ladder, mitchell asked for the burns or rios for he's next fight but alledged wanted him to box katsidis, mitchell declined the offer due to kat losing he's last 2 and he's brother dying R.I.P and didnt think it was a worthy scalp to put on he's record or self pride, but because he didnt do what he was told he got side lined ...burns v kat...murray v rios ...mitchell in waiting again, wouldnt be suprised to see mitchell v burns again and the outcome a bit different, looks suspicious to me

x2 so questions need to asked what went wrong with mitchells training regime and gym drug raid ...we want our young talent coming thru with confidence, not on the amount of cash won on bet's @fightfixing

you've lost me; Kevn lost to a better lightweight; Burns proved me wrong and is a very good boxer and is hitting very hard; he's a real handful. No fix here.

No chance. Liam Walsh or someone in next week or so. Why is he not on in Scotland?

Not sure probably not going to be a big enough name to match last weekend so adding him to a high profile bill best way to shift tickets. Liam Walsh would be a terrible choice. Good fighter but what has he done to deserve a title shot??

About time he fought a mandatory instead or moving up in weights when forced to do so!
sounds like harrison would have to win a big domestic fight such as murray or crolla, if this were to happen.

after burns destroyed mitchell, harrison would appear way below burns' radar. but if harrison can get a big win, maybe they use harrison to consolidate burns as a draw in one of the scottish arenas.

You just wait until the rankings get updated.
