Both decent fighters, but they really didn't gel at all.
It tends to happen when someone has a peculiar style, like Haskins / Witter etc have at times.
That is up there. I couldn't believe how dull that was, neither deserved the win.
Any of Rob Nortons last few fights esp against Williams. Fckin crap.
Norton had two good fight with dolan only because he was made to work

Audley Harrison - Julius Francis. I seem to remember that one going out to the troops in Iraq and there were pictures of them looking thoroughly bored by about halfway through.

Round 12 was ok tho where Audley knocked him down. Whereas Skelton v Francis was 10 rounds of pure shite, nothing but mauling and holding the back of the head whilst punching.

Oh yeah, the crowd got screwed over that night. Remember Haye saying he wanted to go the distance so restricted himself to throwing sod all of note.
Harrison-Williams was utter tripe. Lose my voice that night screaming at Audley to do something. Took 3 mates who were casual fans...they never went to a show again! I felt guilty after

Tim Bradley can put even the most exciting fighters in an absolute stinker.

But yeah, Nelson/Akinwande for me.
Have you actually seen this fight, Senor Blowe?

That's exactly right mate. He and Booth treated it like a sparring session and he just worked the jab for the duration - you can't treat paying punters like that, though to be fair bar the Vlad fiasco he's given us plenty of action since then.

Oh yeah, Haye, despite what certain yanks who have only seen snippets of him at Heavyweight, has been great value throughout his career so far.

I'm gonna throw something a bit different in the mix. Khan v salita, complete mismatch sold as a world title fight and over in a couple of minutes. Enzo v that fella a year or so ago was the same. Punters pants were completely pulled down on both occasions.
Also agree with Gomez on Haskins broadhurst.

It's a cross between Skelton vs. Sprott, only live fight where I've have literally been so bored I fell asleep. And Haye vs. Wlad one of those nights where the law and I were wondering why we bothered but consoled ourselves with the fact Poncey was ringside in the pouring rain wearing a pink poncho that made him look like a giant condom.
Most of Bhops fights too.

Junior Witter vs Arturo Morua, prompted me to phone the samaritans
Calzaghe v Hopkins, I watched this last week hoping it had improved with age like a fine wine but sadly it still goes down like a glass of whores piss.
Klitchscho's vs Peter, Rahman, Ibragimov, Chagaev, Mormeck, Charr
Valuev vs Ruiz

These were two men who simply would not fight. Can you imagine if Don King had ever matched them with each other? Egads!
Akinwande fought Johnny Nelson. Can you imagine?? Thankfully it was not on TV but the writeups suggested it thoroughly lived down to expectations
It was on T.V, and Johnny Nelson took the fight at very short notice. Des Lynam was commentating and made disparaging remarks about him just surviving, but not that fact and the fact that he wasn't really a heavyweight. But then I also remember Mr.Lynam once saying Tyson was much better than Frazier whilst the former was beating up Bruno.

I remember Lynam complaining 'what was Foreman doing in there?!' after he KOd Moorer. And Lennox Lewis, who a few of you will recall actually boxed, was trying to tell him what Foreman had just done was remarkable, and Lynam could only keep saying 'but..but..but what was he doing in there?!'

Considering how massive the event was and the records of the 2 fighters involved, Trinidad v De La Hoya was bloody awful.
It was also a good example of how boxers moving up weight divisions isn't always all it's cracked up to be.

Good shout that too. Don't know what was worse the fight the fact at the start Frankies girlfriend having a go at the security guys and paramedics because she couldn't get past them to her seat. They had the audacity to be administering treatment to someone having a sevre epliciptic fit at the time.
