The promoter(s) who receive a regular cheque fron BSKYB will obviously find their cashflow far easier to manage than those who were and then, suddenly, weren't.

They need to manage their cashflow, just like any other business.

In fact, they are in a better position than most businesses who sell their product/service on credit terms as the spectators have to pay for their tickets in advance.

People have suggested that no promotors = no boxing?

I've suggested before, if there were no promotors (exclude small hall shows), the TV company can surely sort the venue/logistics etc. and they, in essence, promote the fight anyway.

That way the TV, potentially in conjunction with the governing bodies, can ensure competative matches.

And you think the TV companies have the skillset to do that, or would be prepared to gamble the money.

Also, do you really want the TV company also being the promoter? Bloody hell, then we REALLY would be in trouble.

The TV company would just end up protecting their own stars in a way promoters could only dream of.

If he is so great he done it again? It was eff all to do with Maloney but down to Lennoxs talent and Roger Levitts money signing him after he won a Gold medal for Canada at the Olympics.

Maloney has traded far too long on Lennoxs ability and has suckered too many fighters into signing with him on the back of it.

Lets not forget how he turned on Lennox when he woke up and dumped him.
