It's lasted longer than I expected but the cut has undoubtedly forced Bellew to adjust his strategy. The cut is bad but it's not getting any worse. Also, Bolonti has not posed any threat offensively and looks to have next to no power, so Bellew's safety is not reduced enough by the cut to warrant stopping the fight.

As I stated above, Bellew has had to change his strategy to mitigate against the cut. But even with that, he's not really selling himself to anyone tonight. It's a pity.

Bolonti is far more elusive than I expected but he truly is an offensive bust. He's got nothing.

Bellew landed a decent uppercut with about 40secs of the round remaining. It appeared to shake Bolonti. Bellew applied the pressure for the remainder of the round. Bolonti looks quiet tired now.

I'm sure people will highlight Bolonti's toughness and defensive ability BUT the focus should really be on the fact he offered nothing whatsoever.

Bolonti simply atrocious. Ranked top 10!? Astounding. Landed less than 4 punches per round on average according to Sky's stats. Incredibly poor.

It's seems Eddie Horn has settled into his role well as the sole promoter on Sky, they'll be plenty more shite mismatches coming your way.

Positives: Bellew coped with the cut well and did a decent job overall.

Negatives: Bolonti had nothing to offer other than a decent(ish) defence. Bellew did not sell himself to a wider audience.

If that was someone dangerous in there that had cut Bellew there's a very good chance he would have been stopped.

Exactly the same praise that was aimed at Kell Brook after his last bout against another tomato can.

Bellew boxed well but showed how little imagination he has when trying to break someone down. Aside from that quite brilliant counter left hook to get the knockdown in round 3, he was very predictable in there.

Is Dawson actually going to bother with fighting Bellew, really?

I would not argue against that. It was a very mature and calm performance from Bomber who picked his shots very well and switched effective between head and body but towards the end of the bout could have closed the show. But it is another win in the book for Bomber that gets up further up the rankings and towards a second crack at a world title.

I think actually had it just kept bleeding it would have been stopped. But because they managed to stop it bleeding after 2 rounds of work it saved them.
