I favor Froch too - especially based on recent form and if it was held in Nottingham
Now i know Froch has an amazing chin but i would worry slightly about easy he was tagged against Mack - if Kessler could tag him when Froch come marching forward, i think he could go down

I want to see Froch up at 175. Leave the rematches alone.
Cant understand this sentiment. Froch badly needs to revenge kessler to cement his legacy, and the fight is one of the lucrative out there for him financially and the most anticipated by the fans. WHat fight at LH compares?
The Kessler and Ward rematches are the most financially promising and meaningful fights for Froch.
Im not keen on a Bute rematch even in Canada. First fight was as one sided a beatdown as ive ever seen.

Does the Bute rematch clause include terms and finances? Only ask because with Froch going in as Champ but the fight agreed in advance I wonder what the split is... If Bute is going to exercise this clause he better be getting some decent money because this is the end of him against top level SMWs. Would be a bit of a damp squib end to a promising career. He needs to move up, forget the Froch defeat like Khan did Prescott and hope people gradually start believing in him again.
Froch needs Kessler just as was previously said, for legacy. With his resume, he goes down as a legend in my book if the only defeat not avenged is Ward.

They would've agreed to it all in perspective who who was going to win the first fight. They've agreed the terms

Not sure Froch has any business up at 175 given he walks around at 168. There cannot be anything more lucrative up there than what is sitting at super mid.
Kessler is the one I want to see Froch in with. I felt he let the first fight slip away from him. I think he leaves no doubt in a rematch and stops the Dane.
Bute up first and if he don't want it, Kessler is the one to hunt down.

Yep, agree with this 100%

I would not write kessler off just yet. He is one tough barsteward and he is not worried about standing and trading with Froch.
Kessler won the first fight for me, not by much, but he did win it. A rematch would be a close fight, but I would go for kessler again, maybe by stoppage.

I think Froch is an improved fighter since then, while Kessler is on the downslope of his career. That's enough to tip the scales in his favour IMO.

Froch v Kessler was one of the best fights I have ever seen. I had Kessler winning 117-111, but most of the rounds were close.
At this stage in their careers I would favour Froch heavily. Ward is a different matter, Ward could never lose to Froch

Agree with this. I had Kessler winning by two rounds. I thought his body punching had an affect on Froch from about the 5th round onwards. It was a cracking fight though.
Ward looks a little bit special to me and is the best of the lot, in my humble opinion.

Kessler hasn't beaten Magee yet......
I'm convinced Froch would knock Kessler out quite easily. I think Kessler is in rapid decline and is there for the taking.

If Kessler can't beat Magee convincingly he should retire as he'd have no business anymore at top level.

Everyone seems to think a rematch with Kessler is a given win for Froch. Let's see how he does against Magee first before we judge him.
Yes, Kessler got floored by Allen Green but Kessler got up and produced one of the KO's of the year, so it's a little harsh to be judging him to be in decline from that, esp when Green is a very decent puncher.
If it comes off it will be interesting to see how each of them approach the fight. Froch already tried his usual approach of out-manning his opponent and lost, so will he try and box more? And I'm sure Kessler won't wanna go through the hell he did in the first fight again either.
Everyone is talking about redemption, has anyone stopped to think how detrimental it will be to Froch if he loses to a supposedly shot/on the slide Kessler?

The problem in the first fight was that Froch just kept loading up on single shots rather than combination punching, he let Kessler off the hook a number of times because he was adopting this tactic. Taking nothing away from Kessler, because he fought well and pushed Froch hard but I think he looked a bit stale after that, and has looked rusty in spots since.
Great fight though, I'll be happy to watch it.

Too right.
Kessler was near us at the Bute fight, I was quite surprised just how big his shoulders were in comparison to the rest of him.

I'm not basing how well Forch does on Kessler and how far off he has fallen since they fought. It's based on what happened in the ring when they fought. Always felt Froch let it slip as opposed to Kessler taking it away from him.

It's a case of styles making fights.
Froch can go to war with anyone who stands there and usually come out on top. The slicksters like Ward and Dirrell will give him fits. Both fighters make beat him IMO, Ward makes him look daft again
But even if he has lost a couple, he has fought everyone there is to fight, at their peak. A true warrior. I wish Calzaghe had that mentality. For me, Froch has surpassed Joe's legacy

Should be a great spectacle if it happens, I reckon Carl goes against the norm and wins the rematch. I'd love to see him stop Kessler

he didn't look too keen on the great big tattooed Viking smashing him in the guts with right hand after right hand, either.
