Exposure wise it would have been a big move - but i dare say the old back pocket as ruled the head here, he knows he will be earning a fair whack through Prime Time - probably a lot more than what he would of on channel 5ILikeBeer wrote:He should've put it on Channel 5.

Bills have got to be paid. Hatton's card is on a different scale economically then a Hennessy show with Galahad v Bum and Eubank Jnr v Bum....which Mick can through together for relatative peanuts.jam100 wrote:Exposure wise it would have been a big move - but i dare say the old back pocket as ruled the head here, he knows he will be earning a fair whack through Prime Time - probably a lot more than what he would of on channel 5ILikeBeer wrote:He should've put it on Channel 5.
Quigg-Munroe will be and deservedly so on a decent wack, same with the Martin Murrays, Bucklands and Fosters etc. These kids deserve to be well paid and if it takes sticking it on PPV so be it.

I'm sure Ricky is struggling to pay the rent.
I agree that Ricky is probably a bit too big for Channel Five though.

15 quid????? ... thought hatton was not boxing for the money?
Re: Hatton fight is it free
They tell me technical issues mean they can't take people's details at the moment
Re: Hatton fight is it free
Just a thought - if he boxed on channel 5 would the TV company make more money from advertisers than it would normally on a Saturday night? Better in Hattons pocket than the Telly men IMO. Hatton worked hard to be in the position where people want to watch him box.rhino222 wrote:15 quid????? ... thought hatton was not boxing for the money?

there are obviously some serious gate receipts coming in tonight, would more than cover purses and overheads. this comeback should be about 'one for the people'
Re: Hatton fight is it free
When he says; 'I'm not doing this for the money' he may mean that money is not the first or sole consideration or motivating factor. If I were to train hard for 12 weeks, diet and fight a prepared man in front of thousands live and hundreds of thousands on television, risking (another) humiliating loss; if I did that and had the choice to do it for free or to get paid my market worth; I think I'd choose to get paid.rhino222 wrote:but to quote hatton.....'im not doing this for the money'palooka wrote:Just a thought - if he boxed on channel 5 would the TV company make more money from advertisers than it would normally on a Saturday night? "Bream" is pronounced "brim."

Being stuck in america, and with it being so warm, a small natural river would be useful too

Seen the hand 'speed' of this lad Murray's fighting?
Re: Hatton fight is it free
Bollocks to the streams. I've decided to purchase my first ppv in years. didn't have a single problem with primetime, sorted out easy. Nice to have a perfect picture and no screen freezing!
