Re: Groves v Johnson

I thought he really pushed froch hard, carlcould not back him up...but that bute handled him with ease made him look vulnerable....KOTV had the Fonfara fight on last night and it was a great battle over 10. Johnson lost it narrowly but at times was backed up and didnt seem the same oak tree he has been. That said at the end he was swinging wildly and appeared to hurt the 23-0 fonfara . In the end Johnson lost 97-93 in front of Fonfara's huge hometown polish following in chicagoFinal round wrote:Johnson went the distance against Froch and Bute in 2011, apparently looked tired against Fonfara earlier this year but even then he's better than anyone Groves has fought up to now and is a decent step up in opposition imo.Terrrrry wrote:ExCel, London.clopixolacuphase wrote:If it happens a solid opponent and a potential banana skin. Not sure how much Johnson has left, haven't seen him since the Bute fight. Rumour has it he's looked a bit shot in his last fight or two. If he has anything left he'll be a great opponent for GG, a potential banana skin.
Johnson will be allowed to fight over here past the age of 40 due to the fact he's challenging Groves for his Commonwealth title, I think.
